See! I told you guys about Torghast

It means you pick yourself back up and do it again, this week especially isn’t hard at all…

Real life happens while playing a video game. Doorbells, crying babies, emergency bathroom breaks, etc.

Also, some find that being rushed is not a recreational activity. If they want to be rushed, they can go to work and have their boss yell at them to work faster, at least that way they get paid.

There’s no reason for a rogue-like dungeon crawler to be treated like a speed run mini-game.

If people are blowing through it that easy … Blizzard will change it.

That’s a given. And the thing here to remember is that not all classes are equal. Some classes are burst heavy, which is what it sounds like they’re building it as. Which means that DoT heavy classes are the ones who will be burned by the forced faster pace.

I’m not AGAINST it, but not every class is equally balanced. Some classes are slow killers. They do high damage, but they’re slow killers. Also, many classes don’t have good DPS cooldowns to ramp up their damage. Like oh, if a Healer or Tank goes in there to do the run.

Apparently you’ll need to do Torghast for your legendary item (from what I’ve read on these forums).

then… sorry, Blizzard is test trialing it and applying it to torghast in a new way

if you don’t like it, don’t do it, but don’t be surprised should said rewards be removed from visions like how people got upset the day after mage tower was gone

which is fine, but as I repeatedly said, do not be taken surprised when they removed anything related in horrific visions

thing is you’re so close to level 12 too and that would make yourself better stats wise

thats fine

but when others are running around with their legendaries, don’t ask for it until you get the job done (as in getting your legendary)

My question is how will you spend 20 minutes on a floor? There’s no way that it should take THAT long if things stay the way they seem to be on alpha. The rooms themselves probably take about 5 minutes to find the exit. And tbh, you don’t HAVE to clear every single room, unlock every single chest and kill every single elite like in Visions. You have a choice in staying and back tracking to maybe get something from a rare, or just finish the floor. You aren’t stuck there till you kill every single mob. Heck, you can literally skip every mob if you wanted to. The objective is to reach the end of the floor and once you find it, everything from there is you judging the Risk/Reward from staying or leaving and progressing.
IMO, that’s REALLY good for promoting player choice. The choice to continue or stay and brave whatever scary things YOU left for YOURSELF with the debuff.
ALso, AFK zones at the start and finish of the dungeon are pretty good if you need to pee or something.

No. It means I don’t do them. You can if you like them, I’m happy for you then.

I’d never tell you that you don’t belong here if you didn’t like something about the game, though.
I’d just accept what you said.

Sadly, you KNOW Blizzard will tie it to progression in some fashion. They’ll do everything in their power to shove people into it. They tried to entice people into Visions. They had to make it EASIER to get the currency just to draw them in. And there are still a lot of people who are severely turned off by it.

I called this the literal minute I saw Toweliee talk to Paul.

I was shouted down and called a doomsayer and a whiner.

So we should be excited that something that should have been amazing is turning out to be another grindy task?

Yeah, if I don’t like it I won’t do it. Idc what it rewards. The bright side of being a casual scrub is I only do content that I find fun.

There is literally zero rewards from the Horrific Visions I care about.

Old god themed stuff is always stupid looking.

This just means Torghast is Dead on Arrival to me, and is one less reason to actually care about shadowlands or buy it.

Oh no, another pointless legendary item, whatever will I do without it.

People told me I can’t play the game without corruptions either. :woman_shrugging:

Peeing is important. I’m glad they thought of that. Takes a load off my mind.

I’m starting to reconsider buying SL myself as the days go by, especially now that I’ve bought ESO.

There is also no reason for it to be a place to hang out and idle.

You can take your time for the first 10-ish floors - explore, idle, wait for CDs, have an NSFW My Little Pony LARP event - whatever you want.

But if you want to push higher level content, then you are going to have to be prepared to be more focused and strategic.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

But it’s NOT a timer. A timer is something that says or represents “You have X minutes/seconds before you are completely booted out of here”
THese debuffs are not really timers as much as they are affixes that get harder every level.
Does your sanity bar get harder with every zone you clear? It doesn’t because that’s just a hard timer that doesn’t add anything to thought or gameplay other than GOTTA GO FAAST.
These debuffs make you think and choose your fights and stuff and you’ll make a few decisions that’ll be really cool and such. ALso the deaths mechanic is very forgiving, so if you mess up on a decision, you can just say “that was dumb won’t do that again” and just progress to the next level.

Yes.

And you can take whatever time you want before floor 10.

Not an issue.

They can tie whatever they want to it. It doesn’t matter to me.

If I dislike a particular bit of content I just don’t do it. Idc if it gives out puppies and chocolates.

I see what you did there.
Be careful, you may be kicked off the forums for suggesting such scandalous things :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know why your bothering to try to argue with me.

Any form of additional timer slapped on, hard timer or not, is a turn off, and instant no to me.

Period.

If I wanted to be timed and rushed through content, I’d go drown myself in the cesspool of toxicity that is Mythic+
