I don’t do much on this character. Which is also why I don’t care about all your vague nonsense about “Don’t come crying to me when you don’t have a legendary in shadowlands.” or “You’re raid spot will get taken up by someone else.”
Not everyone has the same goals, but I imagine that’d be a foreign concept to you.
AND, in five months your philosophy won’t matter any more, so what you are telling that person doesn’t make sense, working hard in a video game just to have that progression thrown away.
because in those 5 months, they at least enjoyed their time doing said content
they aren’t ranting on the forums because they are pushing keys right now/running visions as we speak
when I got my MoP cloak/WoD ring/Mage tower appearance, I didn’t go “i wasted my time” when blizzard removed them, I have them now, and I can look back and be like ,“yea I did that, and glad I did it”
when said corruption is gone, and if visions are gone/cloak goes away, I can look back and go ,“yea I remember doing this, glad I was around when it was still here” while im doing something in shadowlands
Yeah same here haha. So I’m personally liking what I see, debuffs and all. Adds difficulty, which as a most solo player, I like.
I’m pretty casual I guess you coukd say but I see no issue at all with this unless you literally have no idea how to play yout class and use it’s strengths to your advantage ans try to conpensate for their weaknesses via anima powers.
It really depends on how long an encounter is where you can’t walk away from it for a few minutes for how much of an impact it is.
Most raid bosses are 4-6 minutes with a few up at 10ish.
5 mask visions for me are about 30 minutes.
Mythic+ can obviously vary, but the timers are 40ish minutes and obviously if you go way past that it doesn’t matter and you can take as long as you want.
So it will depend on how long each floor takes. 10 min? 20? 45?
While I understand the need for catch up mechanics … at times they can suck. I mean, I leveled up a Warrior to 120 in the past couple of weeks. He’s almost caught up to my warrior who I’ve been played since the beginning of the expansion.
And since we’re talking about catch up mechanisms … imagine what kind of systems they’ll have to implement so people mid to late game can get caught up on Torghast?
She just told you she didn’t like leveling her cloak, so no, she won’t enjoy spending five months of having to do that to just throw it away in the near future.
and if blizzard suddenly says that cloak can no longer be progress at pre shadowlands launch, don’t be upset when you didn’t get the cosmetics/toys/titles/achievements because you spent time on the forums with the “i can’t” stance
Up to this point in the alpha, the Torghast streams I’ve seen have taken about an hour to clear roughly ten floors. I’d ultimately figure on an estimated 10min per floor, give or take, and you can pause at the start of each floor.
That’s a soft timer… heck if you camp outside their ship you can keep going forever… is it even possible to lose a heroic island at this stage of the xpac?
back on subject i bet it’s going to be a very lenient timer.
It’s not a timer so much it is a stacking debuff that makes the level harder.
You can stay there in definitely, but you will habe to deal with some nasty debuffs if you decide to spend too long in there.
It incentivises time management in each floor and thinking about what you’re gonna do and if you can take that risk. Nothing like heroic visions.
5 million didn’t leave due to no flying… did the no flying announcement hurt, oh for sure. By Q2 2015 they already lost half of the playerbase… the no flying announcement didnt even come till q2 2015.
WoD had no content, nothing to busy yourself with, casuals screwed badly. Though on the other end it was the last xpac you could raid log.
