Nah you don’t need to stick around. Like I said, you can literally skip every mob in there if you wanted and be able to get into the next level. There aren’t any YOU NEED TO DO THIS TO PROGRESS, type things like in visions from what I’ve seen from streamers ever since Torghast went live on Alpha.

most likely the more floors you do, the faster you get your mats to craft your legendary
like how visions are when you put on more masks and full clear a vision
meaning the ones who put effort will get legendaries crafted within the month or two probably

Considering how much they’re pushing it? It was obvious from day one they’d make it mandatory. I mean, the two big selling points of the expansion is “the infinitely repeatable and randomly generated dungeon!” and “Covenants!”
Of course they’re going to tie EVERYTHING around those two things. Much like they tied a lot of our progression around the Heart and Azerite gear this expansion.

You have to find the small chest in the area. they look like small celestial chests. That’s all. The devs even said that these will appear pretty early on as well, so you won’t need to get to the tippy top of torghast just to get like 4 more of yout 250 part reagent or something.
The more you progress the more you earn but even if you don’t go incredibly far, you’ll get a decent haul from your time.
I appreciate the instant doomsaying, but did anyone actually look at the things up for testing? Like they don’t even look balanced yet, some of them are outright negligable.
1% extra damage taken every minute stacking? so 2 hours later on that floor your taking double damage, and thats probably not even a problem for some classes.
1% extra MAGIC damage every minute stacking.
The damage reduction one looks awful but its double time so if you take 20 minutes you’ll be down 10% damage for that floor, if you take a hour 30% that kinda sucks but I assume floors will not take a hour each.
The summons things when not in combat one suck but nothing is there to stop a player from just like whacking a destroyable object and staying in combat with it for 3 hours or something maybe take off your gear and start meleeing it.
Soulforge heat seems outright overtuned and will probably not make it into live or even beta in its current state.
Torghast is currently the only way to get craftable legendary items.
There will also be an infinity mode where you can get cool cosmetic rewards.
Which is unfortunate, because the covenants don’t look that appealing at all, it’s literally just the new zone factions, but with a stupid amount of emphasis placed on them, and they are only letting you do stuff with 1 of the 4, instead of all 4+ now.
And instead of giving us new talents, or new personal abilities, they are just tying powers to a system that’s probably going to be completely removed in 2 years, and mean nothing in the future. Just like the heart of Azeroth will be, and just like Legion weapons are.
Torghast looked a little interesting at first, but the more I learn about it, the less interesting it gets.

it scales per floor, so after 10 with one buff, you end up with ridiculous scaling.

We already guessed that. You didn’t “tell” us anything we didn’t already know.
That’s Alpha, I doubt Blizzard are going to let us stealth into a rest area without doing any requirements.
