1 – Every time you think (or are convinced) that mmr is holding you back (in the long term), or that it makes zero sense, take those moments you normally use to make screenshots and whine posts to instead reflect on what was in YOUR control and/or what YOU could have done better in your most recent matches (this doesn’t mean you would have necessarily won the match, but there is virtually always something you could have improved on).
2 – After reflecting, think about one or more things that might (or should) result in you performing better in future games (e.g., optimize some keybindings and/or your ui layout, watch a stream of a r1 player that plays your spec, read up on your spec, watch a guide about comps/matchup strategies, etc.).
3 – Queue, Queue, then Queue some more. There is a reason why the same players reach the highest ratings every season, and guess what, they don’t have any special mmr hacks. We are all subject to the same matchmaking algorithm(s). Just stop focusing on trivial mmr shifts (experienced from a handful of lobbies), low point gain/bad lobbies, etc., and KEEP QUEUEING. You will gain rating as your muscle memory improves and you become more experienced with the various scenarios that you’ve found difficult in the past, and eventually, you will end up where you belong / at the proper rating range(s) that accurately reflect(s) your current skill level with a given spec.
4 – Repeat steps 1-3
