It’s going to take folks 5% longer without flight. Maybe. If that. And that’s only for that hardest core, Red Bull™ swilling, bedpan filling, nose to the grindstone, “It’s 2am, 20 hours into the patch, ding I’m 80! Whirled Furst!” folks.
For most humans, that time differential will be non-existent, since they’ll be chatting, staring at their screens, reading quests, scouring Wowhead, etc.
The quests have to be played, the monsters stalked and killed, the dung beetles chiseled out of their holes with sticks. Everyone pays that price. The travel advantage of flying is mostly a non-issue. Travel time is very low on the total time spent in leveling, especially when it’s all new and you don’t know what you’re doing, what you’re looking for, or where you’re going.
So, why not open regular flying with Dynoflight?
I don’t know. The point is, it doesn’t matter in the short run, particularly if you’re getting it automatically at max level.
I think the whole premise of this post is backwards.
Society is optimized to function at the level most its citizens are at. The less able are then provided with help so they can also participate.
If you cannot tolerate dynamic flying but most players can that’s kind of a you problem. I think that blizzard will incorporate taxi points and flight paths so you can still get around. Or you can hitch a ride with a friend.
The idea that things should be optimized to the least able which is a minority instead of the majority its bad.
You will probably be given the ability to move around without dynamic flying. But to ask for everyone else to have to use wheel chairs because you can only use wheel chairs is bad.
I posted a question on this topic referencing your post on the Q&A Submission Blue Post. There’s 1,200+ replies to that pinned thread, and they will carefully screen questions, but there’s a slim chance they’ll address that one as it’s on the topic of inclusivity for disabled players.
We do have flight point in DF but not to the caverns ,there are ways a player can go about leveling in the game without flight or flying. but I can see op’s point it is unfair if you start this game as a new player not knowing what to do.That is the reason for the forums to ask and sometime complain.
There are three flight points in Zaralek Caverns and you can fly to any flight point inside the caverns to any flight point outside the caverns (and vice-versa). Maybe you were unaware as I didn’t realize y you can click on the lower-right sub-map and pick a flight point outside/inside the caverns (depending on if you’re inside/outside when you click).
It can. There’s a bunch of different things. For me, I couldn’t handle the speed and remembering buttons, because it was all too much too fast too different for my brain to comprehend. It took me all of beta and part of live to finally be able to dragonride.
