Title.
Can’t turn in the quest as the NPC despawned. Relogging didn’t work. No addons didn’t work. Quest marker says she is supposed to be at this location.

Same issue here.
I’m in the same boat. Thinking that maybe dropping and picking up the quest again, I abandoned it. Now, I cant pick the quest up again to retry it. I’ll be trying to submit a ticket for gm help on this.

You can abandon the quest. The quest comes from the statue.

I abandoned and the quest does not show up at the statue again …even though I /reload.
This is horrible
I went back to the statue in the plains as mentioned above, this worked. I could interact with the statue and get the quest again.

Logged out and back in and returned to the Plains where that statue is - It doesn’t show up on your map where the ! is but she was showing the quest again. whew!! Completed

Small indie company cant test a simple quest turn in. jesus christ

For what it’s worth, this happened on beta too.
$1 bet that Blizz doesn’t fix this for weeks.
I was able to finally turn it in. Here is what I did.
-Accept the 2nd stage of the quest from the statue and stand next to the spot where her image spawns
-Tag the enemies with whatever ranged abilities you can to get credit for kill
-When maiden’s image respawns after getting credit for kill, click on her and turn in as fast as possible. There should be enough time before she vanishes.
After turning in the quest, she did not vanish again and I was able to accept the next part of the quest. Hope this helps someone else complete the quest.
She despawns on others starting the quest to kill the mobs. You basically have to stand on her and tag the drake and then spam turn in before someone else starts it. great design
except when it doesn’t. a number of us dropped and now can’t pick it up.
same issue, relogging did not resolve. Quest giver next to statue is just gone
EDIT: abandoning the quest let me re-accept the quest from the statue right next to the mob spawn. i was able to complete the quest on my 2nd attempt. some people are claiming they cannot re-accept the quest so do this at your own risk.

YOU have to ge the one to start the event… i found that just killing the adds, without talking to the maiden and saying lets begin will cause her to phase out. its say it is an optional choice but it is not i just completed it
