Season Opener on Debate Night?

no one did. but nevertheless, testing for voting is cringe, like voter id laws. these voter restrictions are proposed by the guileful as common-sense measures, to influence the results of elections because the reality of getting educated isn’t good for trump’s voter-base

Why is a voter id law cringe? People shouldn’t have to prove who they are for instances such as voter fraud?

this is a massively overblown issue by trump and his base. it does not occur broadly. any simple glance into the history of elections, even in the 21st century, will tell u that. on the other hand, ownership of an id is actually a challenge for many citizens, but because they’re already in a position whereby obtaining an id is difficult, they’re definitely not positioned to be able to voice this difficulty on a nat’l stage

It is not a challenge for the greater masses of Americans to obtain an id. lol

spoken like someone who’s never had to deal with those challenges themself. there are a ton of thoughtful pieces written explaining these difficulties, but i have no idea if you’ll read them, since it seems like you already have your mind made up.
when i was, like, 15 or 15 i also thought competency exams would be good for voting. but then i learned more about it and grew out of that view.

Because incompetent voters are a good thing when you vote blue.

yeah, this devolved into pretty much exactly what i thought it would. trump voters are at best misguided at at worst actually evil. what they all have in common is a willingness to be led by the nose to the wrong answer.

I disagree, they know why they’re voting for him while the left they just vote blue no matter and that casuse problem for the country.

pretty much nothing prevents this silly take from applying in the opposite direction. i know why i vote the way i do, and historically cogency of position hasn’t even been something trump’s managed to secure. or did he tell you what was in his ‘concept of a plan?’

Very typical. Logic instated into conversation and the blue guy screams at the sky.

honestly, considering at least one dunderhead doesn’t seem to understand what ‘logic’ even is, i wonder whether the dummies who think voting tests are a good idea would even manage to pass them. seems dubious tbh.

Extremely funny that you guys are still on this nonsense.

Also extremely funny that you guys think this is happening at all, anywhere.

Isolated cases of individual voter fraud are not enough to overturn elections. They occur in every election.

Oh god, please do this, I want Democrats running every branch of government forever.

Its cringe because there isnt widespread voter fraud in this country and never has been, despite what Trump and his brainless supporters like to pretend. Requiring voter ID is a solution without a problem.

The right to vote is a right to vote, and implementing ID requirements beforehand can negatively impact the ability of low-income voters to exercise their rights. This also means that Republicans, being generally lower income than Democrats, would be far worse off if voter ID laws were passed.

To require an ID that the voter must pay for in order to vote more or less amounts to a poll tax, which have been highly illegal for a very long time. Also, Republican-run states that require ID to voter have a very sketchy history with suddenly and mysteriously changing the rules regarding what kind of ID is acceptable when minorities show up to vote.

Now, if you were to have the government provide a free, federally-issued ID that everyone in every state can use to vote, there would be no problem. Unfortunately, every time such a law is brought up, Republicans suddenly dont want it. How strange.

Only caring about the majority and not caring about the minority, even when their constitutionally-given rights are at risk. The iconic Republican stance.

Its always funny when Republicans try to inform Democrats that Democrats dont know why they’re voting for someone. “No bro trust me bro, you have no idea why you’re voting for this person bro, Sean Hannity told me so, bro.”

I know why I’m voting for Kamala, its to keep a convicted felon who tried to steal an election out of the Oval Office. Its to keep LGBT rights from being stripped away by people who think that LGBT people are child abusers. Its to ensure that Ukraine continues to receive aid so they dont get rolled over by a tyrant. Its to keep sane people holding the reins of power instead of in the hands of schizos who will happily make up lies about minorities eating their pets and the drooling imbeciles who believe it. Its because the post-2020 Trumper tantrum was honestly the funniest few months I’ve ever lived through and I cant wait to run it back. I could go on, but I dont feel like writing a book.

I have very good reasons for voting for Kamala, and being told otherwise by people who think Trump is somehow a quality candidate is funny as hell.

The literal instant we start requiring voting tests in order to vote, there would be about 500 stories being run on Fox News asking if Democrats are intentionally suppressing Republican voters by requiring them to answer unreasonable questions such as “What is the Bill of Rights?”

They would then use those stories as justification to actually try to suppress Democrat voters, because in their minds they’d just be retaliating.

‘Make up a problem out of thin air, hamfist a solution’ has been how Republicans do things for quite a while, and voting tests would just be another thing on the list if they were suddenly legal.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you receive a tax refund every year.

What are you even talking about? State IDs are free. Or, they are in Ohio. I agree that they should be free every where if they’re not.

I have no idea why anyone from any party would be against presenting an ID to vote. People who are not citizens of this country should not have a say in how it’s run.

She haven’t offer anything she just copy everyone’s position and acts like a total idiot without a script. you just hate Trump and that’s fine but the rest of the Americans are not happy where this country is going. Everyone knows who trump is and we know what his policy will be like. He’s not perfect and he dose say lot of dumb stuff, but 2019 was a great for us before Covid happen and we want to return to that. But if she dose get elected and country went to :poop:, you get what you deserve.
