Crazy how Trump can just stand up there and lie, and your response to him being corrected is to be angry at the person correcting him, rather than being angry at Trump for lying in the first place.
Oh yes, who could have guessed that a presidential nominee would be asked about such unexpected and unusual topics as
-checks notes-
The economy, immigration, foreign policy, and abortion rights. Truly, these are subjects that would come out of nowhere and that no one could have predicted unless they were given the list of questions beforehand.
He did not raise tariffs on imports by 10% and put a 60% import increase on Chinese goods the first time he was president. He DID start a trade war that hurt American farmers for literally no reason, if thats what youāre referring to.
You complain about moderators correcting Trump, then say you dont like when the media buries candidateās blunders. Which is it? Is the media allowed to point out when candidates lie and screw up, or is that a standard that only Democrats need to meet?
We know what Harris would do about the economy and inflation. She has talked about it multiple times. Maybe if you got your news from places other than Fox and NYP, youād know what her positions are. If you actually wanted to know her positions, you could very easily find them with a single google search. Or you could have just listened to her during the debate, where she talked about her policy positions.
I genuinely cannot understand how you can correctly talk about how the media has naked bias in regards to politics in one moment, then turn around and complain about how the media is correcting Trump lying during a debate.
Either lies are acceptable 100% of the time, or they arent. Either its the mediaās job to hold candidates accountable, or it isnt.
Trump did not answer a single question in the first debate against Biden, and spent the majority of the second debate ranting about immigrants eating peopleās pets and rambling about 30 vaguely connected topics and whatever his grievance of the week is. If youāre going to hold candidates feet to the fire about not answering questions about what their policy positions are, I simply do not believe you when you say that you think Trump is the one who is doing better in that regard. The guy has been Captain Word Salad for the better part of a decade.
I voted for Romney in 2012 because I met him and he was a genuinely nice guy who had a strong track record and good policy positions for the most part. I voted for Hillary in 2016 because Trump was a clown who had no idea what he was talking about. I voted for Biden in 2020 because Trump was still a clown who had no idea what he was talking about, except now it was pretty clear just how dangerously incompetent and corrupt he was. Iām going to be voting for Harris in two months because I wont be voting for a felon who tried to steal an election that he lost, and also because heās a clown who has no idea what heās talking about.
