Modern fantasy has no room for race hate. Even evil Drow can be good. Just look at Dragon Age, BG3 and Dragons Dogma 2. Tolkien age is over.

More like the trolls screwed around and found out. Again, Chronicles is silent on who struck the first blow. But as I have shown the trolls were ever bit as imperialistic as the night elves and would have likely tried to conquer the night elves if they could have.

The book clearly shows if you didn’t bother them, they wouldn’t bother you. And the way I see it, Azeroth’s “borders” are in the state of flux as current WoW where a culture might nominally claim an entire swath of territory(think Darkshore for the night elves) but other races could still live there and have their own territory(think the Shatterspears or the various Furbolg tribes)
Azshara and the ancient night elves aren’t even part of the alliance yet you simp for them so hard you create lies and more headcanon to defend your arguments. Why is that?
Also the ruines of their old cities are evrywhere. They are diehard imperialists and conquered it all probs turning other races into vassals and forced them to paid large tributes to create their empire.
We’re bored of the lesser races after we wiped out their villages and put our boots to their throats after conquered most of the known world is such peek Kaldorei

Because you are defending lore that even now doesn’t exist. You keep saying Azshara was some sort of conqeuror when clearly she was too vain and power hungry to care too much about petty things like land.
Who is making headcanons now? The book literally says they did not care about diplomacy or the other cultures and largely ignored them.
More like they built cities in empty tracts of land in the same way the orcs created Ogrimmar and largely stayed in those cities/outlying outposts and just didn’t care about the other races.

It states that all night elves, including the lowborne, thought all races were beneath them. That all night elves agreed with and loved Azshara. And that these racists began expanding the empire before any troll attacked.
Canonically nelves began the war.

You are literally ignoring what was written in the lore book. She sent her forces as pioneers not conquerors to found cities and repositories where there was none. I would also point out the battles with the trolls were SMALL and SPORADIC. It wasn’t some war for conquest, just border skirmishes.
