I get what you are saying, but they are a small team and don’t have as much resources to be able to do more. I’m sure they would have loved to do that. They also seem to have been pressured to get it out quickly.

You’re looking to hard at the “Discovery” part of this. This whole season is a test. Think of it like classic+ Beta. It’s not wow classic V2.0 with brand new starting quests in Valley of Trials…
The whole point was to have more and interesting ways to play your character. Not re-invent the world the players didn’t want changed. Hense why the devs keep saying they want classic to feel like classic, Just let affliction be viable, let enhance be viable, let boomies be viable… Unless you really love the war rogue meta for raiding and pvp.
Most of the other things your talking about are already in the works or are happening. Just take a chill pill.
I don’t want the game to change too much. I want to raid as Enh with 2h without being forced to totem twist. I asked for 12+ years to play a shaman tank and now I can. This whole season is a dream come true as it is.
I still like the idea that runes can be stacked and one could find the same rune multiple times up to 5 of the rune runes and stack them in the same slot or in other gear slots. Like Victory Rush could be in the gloves, legs and chest or up to 5 of the same runes in just the gloves, multiplying the rune’s effectiveness
I’ll bet most of you skipped the discovery portion and opted for guides on all the runes, new raids, etc.
I didn’t skip anything merely suggesting that I do not agree with how the current rune set up is. I believe that the runes should be universal which allows the player to socket the rune or multiple runes in any item/s. The runes should or could be one in the same which placed in head, hands, legs, chest etc would increase what ever buff the rune allows.
I sure did and proud.
Quests arent the same. Dungeon bosses arent the same. Mob damage is definitely more. Loot isnt the same. Casters definitely do more than wand.

Dungeon bosses are unchanged though, quests, minus the rune ones are identical…
I too thought there would be more to it than just runes.
Would have loved to see an extension to some of the major quest lines or additional mobs. Environmental stuff, some kind of community event to keep people engaged. I liked the warrior rune activity in SW to hand it trophies to the collector. Why not do that for everyone and at a larger scale.

I’d say for level 25 we have some decent quest chains.
Warlock tank rune, warrior runs have some good chains, wild growth rune is decent.
Are you expecting the full ashbringer quest chain at level 25 in the barrens?

True, true. OP expecting a level 10 Scarlet Citadel, new lore, new fully dynamic world systems, and black temple attunement like quest chain added to the game. No big deal guys, should be easy. Just game dev things.
