Buff ranged hunters. That’s my feedback. Melee sucks.
You are truly in the minority when it comes to your opinion on XP changes. Population has plummeted in SoD mainly due to the fact that people feel like there is no content once they hit 40 because leveling an Alt is an absolute nightmare. SoD is supposed to be about trying new classes, alts, testing new Runes etc. With the current leveling that makes it feel HORRID when trying to level up your 5 Alts from Phase 1.
Didnt you just say the other day MC was going to be left at 40?
This is super weak. Casuals win out again - this is like watching the decline of Wrath all over again…
Meh. Retail type of changes. 20 man raid when we’re used to 10 mans. Not looking good ngl some of my friends already left for Last Epoch.
Incredible. Leveling is my favorite part of WoW but the 25-40 is just too long for me at this point in my life. Amazing change.
Love all of these changes, with the constant balance changes this will make trying multible classes far more viable. I’m glad to hear 20 mans will start in p3 and its also good to hear 40 mans are still part of the eventual plan.
Good stuff.
Wrath/cata and retail are right there.
Are there plans in order to introduce more role options to classes like you did in phase 1? Perhaps what Hunters really need is a full on tank spec option to enjoy melee gameplay. Or a healing Warrior who heals through shouts and banners.
Nah, you’re supposed to enjoy 100 hours in stockades and SM (assuming you play AOE meta farm classes only!)
Overall the changes are good. My problem is always going to be with the going concern after the games hype dies. Is there replayability? How accessible is it to new players, etc.
I feel the focus on preparation of your class and logistics behind the team is what makes Era have a replayability none of the other expansions can quite hold. A major part of that is the difficulty of the content as we see with LFRs. Unless players know the mechanics and have an actual interest in completing it they won’t put forth outside effort to learn the encounter.
You look at Era, a new player just needs to hit 60 and get attunements. By the time you are even able to enter the first raid, you’re already capable to do well in there too. We always see the fall off when content gets so difficult it requires studying and practice, pair that with nothing else to do but end game raid and it’s “on to the next phase.”
Will the quest gold increase match the conversion at level cap? Or will it be less than waiting and clearing at cap?
Also, as per every time it has ever happened, I assume anyone that has already paid full price for the Mount/Training isn’t getting a refund?
You guys are such amazing devs and this community is very fortunate to have you, even if all the whining and crying on this forum might sometimes lead you to believe otherwise. You’re the reason this has all been such a success so far. Love the communication and candidness.
you’re alright Nopales
Still gonna play the game, but this is a terrible iteration of “Classic +” - Give me Aggrend’s Job and I’d make this game 100x better for everyone. 40 man raids are pretty awesome but I don’t care too much about that. I do ask that you look into PVP, it’s clear you’ve blatantly ignored this aspect of the game. Fix PVP and buff warriors in PVP? On another note - adding rated warsong would be sick.
As long as Rank 7-14 level 60 gear goes through some changes as well. Especially the epic gear. Maybe look at bringing the gear and ranks forward so we don’t have to wait for AQ for what it seems like it will be sub-par gear compared to raiding gear.
Well they didn’t, as they’ve said before.
Pick up that phone, because I called it.
Mixed thoughts
Making alts this accessible puts a ton of pressure on you to get class balance right, or you end up in a terrible meta class fest. This happened in Dragonflight for the same reasons. The fact that I can’t just switch my toon to a meta class forces me to try and play it/find creative solutions. Not sure which is right but accessible alts is very not-classic. I support the 1-25 boost to help new player catch up to the current phase, but invalidating the leveling at the beginning of a phase seems like a mistake.
The gold cut on mounts is strange. The 1/2 price mounts was “fixed” just weeks ago and now is being undone, while at the same time other gold sinks are being added. Also no retroactive gold support for people who already bought feels bad.
The advance notice on raiding size is very appreciated.
The additional xp increase is fantastic, really appreciate the casual quality of life changes, thanks for making changes and supporting players time.
The one tough issue with rerolling an alt is grinding out wsg and ab reputation for me now after Ive already done it. I do understand the ashenvale event curves the rep grind to revered, however the 21k rep is still daunting, and with only a weekly for 1k rep thats still a 2 month grind, with wsg games included.
Unless i strictly live in wsg as an alt, which in itself contradicts the idea of an alt, and now forces a player to main said alt to persue reputation cap, it still feels daunting. Not sure if a catch up mechanic could be made where you receive a % increase to repuation gains based on your highest reputation character. Something to make rerolling feel less bad.
Thanks!
feel like I wasted my time leveling… make it so you don’t get the massive xp buff for 25-40 until you have at least one max level character
