Yes, 40 man raids are an absolute must. Look forward to the Lv 50 raid. (I sure hope it’s BRD, Mara would be fitting, but so much less iconic)

We have a small community of roughly 20 people, which has worked well for us with 10 man since not everyone’s schedules align. These changes are basically a death sentence for us, and we’ve already had several members unsub due to today’s news. The big draw of SOD for us was 10 man raiding which meant we all got to play with our friends, and having someone in recruitment wasn’t necessary. I wish this intention was made clear from the beginning before we invested our efforts into something that ultimately was never intended for us.

i say larger size raid is more easily acceptable to gdkp because they are normally easier to carry multiple people once geared as to smaller ones which locks them out

I understand that flex raids are not an option with sod, but the 40 man content already exists, and you are planning to invest development time in scaling it down to a 20 man. Why not leave the 40 man option there and just offer a 20 man option. This satisfies both groups. Why does it have to be one or the other? Why eliminate existing content?

if you didn’t run Ashevale in Phase 1, you don’t understand the greatest accomplishment Blizzard has ever done. We had battles every day! with over 1000 people involved in large-scale World PVP and no LAG Amazing! Blizzard should not go away from this! Was easy to get into raids! ! There is a reason all layers were busy ,!! Ashenvale was always packed!

Or maybe if youre not lucky youre not meant to have that item. You dont need to be full BiS in every slot, if you get those items great. But its about the hunt not being some god tier i have every BiS item I can get. Just go play retail if you want that.

May not work for everyone, but I guarantee for the people who truly want to do 40 man content, they will make the effort.

Asking the community to refactor itself phase to phase is just a tough ask, we’ve already seen that this phase with Gnomer asking for much more specific raid comps than BFD and people needing to reroll. Bumping the goalpost from 10 to 20 is definitely gonna hurt, it’s hard for people to accept this is inherently experimental and that you didn’t have the perfect plan laid out in p1.
I’m in a guild with people who are IRL friends, they’re not gonna wanna play with strangers and there’s no alternative 10 man content so I imagine they’re just gonna quit.
The levelling change is something I have mixed feelings about for sure… To be frank I don’t know if you have the endgame to really accommodate all the incentivization to get there - and do what now?
Random closing - would love to see some optional difficulty mechanics to help make the raids more puggable for casuals ala BFD and more rewarding for organized groups. Feel like Gnomer is not gonna be played as a level up raid like BFD is, not pugged anyway.

A good bit of people will check out over this… but it will maintain the audience that are more retail based gamers until the war within comes out… thats for certain.
Most people are just waiting for the next classic era server to pop out… and they are gone…
all they want is a fresh… because blizzard let the gold market get over bloated…
The classic era vanilla player… just wants 2019 all over again without the RMT.

This is nice and all but can you please fix things that are existing problems rather than tell us what to wait for in the future? cough cough STV event cough cough
mages are only capable of healing others. our self healing has been nerfed into the ground time and time again. and our healing for the most part is underwhelming at best. should have been battlemages and warlocks the healers.
