I don’t mind though, were only lvl 25, and there will be crap loads of changes through out SOD.

The problem is hunters have received multiple nerfs that effects long term scaling. Hunters have always been strong at low level and bad gear. And fall off a cliff as levels and gear go up.

True, but we got a ways to go, I think a bunch of things will get reverted for everyone

You must be new to the hunter class.

Blizzard has a history of gutting hunters because they are to strong early, and letting them be weak late in the expansion until next expansion, then repeat heavy nerfs early…

It is my first time playing a hunter, but I got hopes.

Well, i hope you are right, but i have mained hunter since actual vanilla. Quit retail early legion because they removed basically all utility from bm and mm so sv could be “special” by having traps and melee, they fixed it later legion but i was gone by then because they had gutted 2/3 specs to make the new “melee” spec essentially the only option for the first half of legion. And in turn ruined what SV was before that, instead of making a 4th spec they essentially deleted what was a very popular spec before legion gutted it. But they ruined every hunter spec at that time, bm was now a crazy cat lady throwing pets at people, MM was a spray and pray you hit something spec that shot everywhere, even through walls, floors, and ceiling…, and SV was a wannabe rambo.

Ive been a hunter main for a long time. And my current best case scenario is we average middle of the back for the last few phases.

imo they ruined hunter when they removed melee weapons and just made them into a full on caster. that’s the whole reason I play classic hunter, I like melee weaving, the full on melee survival spec is lame AF. Throwing bombs? Grappling hooks? feels so stupid. But that’s retail in general. It jumped the shark a while ago.

Why don’t you just take our hunter runes away and just leave us the same as classic era, that’s what all the complainers want apparently. This is ridiculous man, you have mages out here pulling 100+ mobs healing themselves while doing it. BUT WIND SERPENT! blizzard what are you doing!!? stop nerfing us to the ground.

Seems everyone is complain about either being over buffed or under buffed/nerfed. Why not just remove all / anything from our charas (no attributes etc) and allow us to buff or nerf with the runes you create for us.

At this point, unless they NAIL phase 2 runes, and raid I am done once my sub runs out. This has been such a blatant cash grab with little to no thought out into the overall player experience it’s sad.

These loot tables and the phase going on to long means I am now losing loot rolls to alts that are a different armor class because who would think we need loot rules for phase 1 right? people will stick around right? Lost the cloth chest for the fourth time to a brand new person who equipped it, and then won leather chest uncontested later.

If it’s 10 man for gnomer then it’s dead in the water, there is no opportunity to double down on a class and so anyone brought will have to play exactly one role. Want to play shadow? Tough we only want a priest who heals.

Runes for hunter are trash and still eating nerfs/are bugged.

It is what it is. I had hope for a blizzard product but lesson learned. They conned 45 bucks out of me for the last time.

Anyone tested how much priests healing has dropped?

I suppose that’s why you chose the name you did, amirite?

You guys need to really make sense of your changes. Show some info informing everyone as to why hunter pets do to much damage. Facts have shown that all other real dps classes do more damage. You are forcing marksman and have nothing to back up your lack of data.

Yeah, it’s a very valid point, Akumai’s zone increase is massive lol. But I don’t think that’s really what people’s problem is with balance, it’s purely the range, but only because it can be done from out of sight, and has no telegraphing of direction. You could get hit from anywhere and without tricks it’s not always obvious where that was from.

Even if Starsurge had a blind spot it would be irrelevant to the specific issue, as with hunters sadly. Yes I do agree it’s a big thing, but no I do not believe it really fits in with the argument.

I don’t agree, with or without a range nerf the interaction is mostly the same, and other classes can achieve the same range on multiple abilities.

What needs to happen is for the druid to be buffed in other areas and incentived to cast instead of using instants. But currently Balance’s casted spell are just so bad you don’t want to cast them, hence why we’ve always had the Moonfire spam joke.

Reduce the scaling on Starsurge so it doesn’t scale so hard, make it scale off Nature as well (astral damage) in compensation (overall doesn’t change much but adds flexibility, and fits with the theme), then buff Balance’s casted abilities. Fixed.

If you wanted to nerf/fix it further take the scaling down a bit further and instead make it extend your DoT durations.

I’m not sure I agree? I haven’t seen it useable in form, unless it’s only useable in Aquatic form currently and I was simply unaware.
I’d imagine it should kick the druid out of Travel Form as it does other forms. Although all that really does is further incentivise Natural Shapeshifter for the mana efficiency (something I already talented into in preparation :smiling_imp:)

Will have to check when I get home if Starsurge is useable in Aquatic/Travel, but I was under the impression it was only useable in caster form.

as ive been saying…why is blizzard sleeping on changing lone wolf. FFS just buff it up to like 40% damage. Its just a flat percent, so if you have to tune it back down in a later phase, no biggy. Pets are doing 60% + of our damage, so tuning lone wolf up to at LEAST 40% just makes sense…and its not like this would be rough in pvp, because the only thing we have really hard hitting is aimed shot…which with BiS xbow currently crits for like 320…WITH world buffs including DMF. There are already plently of other spells in t he game that hit way harder, so getting a 40% flat buff with lone wolf wouldnt make us one shotters in pvp any worse than anything else. Also no pet gimps us in pvp anyway so its kind of not an issue. As someone who plays melee, this hotfix super gimps us even worse. The only rune melee uses on gloves is BM. Carve is severely less damage. So with BM rune nerfed, melee hunters are going to expect to see around a 12-15% damage decrease, with no compensation (the could have at least buffed carve damage some to make up for it). JUST GIVE US A HEAVILY BUFFED LONE WOLF, and make it so flanking strike without a pet just gives you the pet portion instead.
