Not playing something IS contributing to balance data. When they see something being under-utilized/not used at all they have data that it is considered weaker or not fun to players so they can take a look at it and make changes. Under-performance data and under-utilized data are both valuable.

When does it go liveā€¦ thought it was supposed to be today?

So true king, keep spitting. Thereā€™s probably a reason it was previously nerfed when it was that high before but maybe not who knows.

The guy they put in charge of releasing it is currently on warrior discord asking if this is enough of a nerf to get back in their good graces. They havenā€™t answered yet.

You donā€™t need data to prove that 20% all stats is > 15% just damage coupled with the loss of your pet damage which being generously low here accounts for around 30% of your damage

You donā€™t need to prove it to me. Prove it to the devs by playing the game. They actively collect all that data.

How is it not proof to them as is that Lion accounts for every top hunter parse with Lone Wolf being non-existant? If you want numbers a fat 0% of top 200 parses using the rune probably does a good job of that

You can defend inaction, be upset nothing changes, and continue to play the cookie cutter build as if this were Era where nothing can change, or go in and demonstrate just how bad it is and get it changed.

Whether you want to chase parses is your own prerogative.

We prove it by not using it. It is that bad.

Lets take a look at lone wolf. 15% damage boost for not using a pet.

So the question is, is a non BM hunter pet 15% or more of the hunters damage? Currently the answer is yes. Which means lone wolf is WORSE than no rune at all.

That is how bad the rune is. It is better to run no rune at all than to use lone wolf.

Not using it doesnā€™t prove itā€™s bad. It just proves that people looked up someone elses build.

Lower-than-average consumer spending isnā€™t an indicator of a lack of consumer spending power, it just means consumers are being selfish and conspiring to cause a recession.

See how ridiculous that logic is in any other context? They know their design choices suck by the absence of their utilization. They just donā€™t care.

Basic math proves it is bad.

Put no rune at all on as a MM hunter (donā€™t run bm rune either) and go do the raid. Next do the raid with no pet LW on. You will do less dps. Its been mathed out.

Devs want to see the numbers occur in game. Make the numbers occur with real activities or be happy with inaction.

Shifting the onus of devā€™s testing their own numbers onto the playerbase thatā€™s completely disinterested in using something that the community has already done the incredibly basic elementary school math on and determined is a damage loss is an incredibly bad stance to take.

Basic math from existing data shows it is bad.

You guys are having a pointless debate, these changes are only because of PVP, they clearly are only interested in giving the appearance of balancing PVP issues and not the raid experience. Warriors and Rogues being traditionally the best is just a convenient excuse to keep the status quo.
