Season of Discovery Class Tuning - January 11

Me and everyone else don’t care. If it has a high skill ceiling. We care that it has the lowest skill floor.

If it is a high skill cap class then it shouldn’t be so low skill floor. So then we should nerf it even more.

And that low skill floor is not what the game is balanced around.

tool tip for beast mastery rune still read’s the same as before the patch went live today.

No adjustments to druid? I thought they were the most OP now.

20% stats, without having your pet out is better than lone wolf. I don’t need to ‘try’ it to know how bad it is.

When is this hotfix going through? The runes currently still show the same numbers.

Did it go live? All my runes read the same.

As a hunter that prefers the MM/surv gameplay over pet simulator these would be very nice changes. I don’t like being forced to go BM rune because it’s so good. Your ideas for buffs with flanking strike and lone wolf make sense and aren’t just damage or mana cost reductions and make interesting changes to the gameplay loop. I think chimera shot would be too powerful at 125% though especially with this hotfix making chimera shot like 37 mana it would be starsurge 2.0 in pvp.

It’s weapon damage. It’s not that strong. It’s on a cooldown.

Yea, perhaps you’re right about Chimera, but making flanking and lone wolf actually good in this way is something I’m really trying to get noticed.

Imagine having fun new gameplay for hunters… in SoD.

If you would like to see meaningful change, people need to play the runes to produce real data in raids, pvp, dungeons, everywhere. If no one tries these styles of gameplay, they will never be improved in a meaningful way.

SIM tools are all imperfect as are DPS meters.

Climb up on your cross so that others don’t have to suffer, too.

I do. And those that have a vested interest in making more options viable should too.

You’d be right if it didn’t go straight through armor because it’s fully nature dmg, didn’t also do ~32 bonus damage with serpent sting, the crossbow from Aku’mai didn’t exist, couldn’t also get to 41yd range with MM talents, and the CD wasn’t only 6 seconds just like starsurge.

It absolutely is. No one in their right damned mind is going to balance their game around sub 1% of their player base.

Blizzard has been quite trash for about a decade now but even I don’t think they are that foolish.

Pass. I’m not paid to be a WoW developer, so I will not pretend to be one. Not that they would heed any one particular person’s suffering.

Low parsing of a lone individual does not ‘speak’ loudly because it does not have a voice; crybabies on this forum and streamers do.

Then enjoy being stuck with one option. You have the power to influence a change, it’s up to you. Otherwise, don’t be mad. You are complacent with the results

You know. You could just reduce all the pet abilities to like ‘1’ damage and then use Pet Scaling to increase them from a ‘leveled field’.

Instead of, as I understand it, now where it’s [pet’s own attack strength] plus [portion of hunter’s attack strength].

This way ALL the pets are ‘based lined’ and you don’t have outliers that perform really well coughWind Serpentcough. That’s where the problem is: Some pets are already strong before being made a companion.

With the end goal that you stop nerfing Hunters into the ground because someone on the Hunter discord found a pet+rune+talent combo that makes them OP, and now every Hunter is that.

Nonscaling 32 damage, how exciting! Armor piercing, too? Wow! So it’s an enhancement shaman earth shock that scales off weapon damage rather than spellpower? OK. Anyways.

And the purple xbow you treasure clips into your aimed shot, effectively wasting dps. The competent item for maximized Karl Marxman dps is the Nef bow, because of its 3.4 speed. You don’t have access to it right now.

Hunters get a huge nerf and priests get… a 20% healing nerf?
Everyone has a 25% damage nerf in wsg, shouldnt healing also have a 25% nerf in there?
