You already will be with the DoT crit rune. That’ll do a fair bit of work in it turns out to be real.
Those “scoring” systems are extremely skewed. If you manually look through logs you will see Spriest is behind. Each fight they are behind by an average of 233 dps per boss. Yes, that’s based on the top players, but any differences in class difficulty isn’t an issue at those levels of playing. That means it’s a far more accurate picture for where the classes are at.
If you don’t balance this game based on the top % of players, people will only see what classes are “S tier” and any other classes won’t be meta and brought far less to raids.
The trick to getting shadow nerfed is rerolling shadow priest and hitting lvl 39 with 99% xp, then attacking another mob.
Shadow will be nerfed before that last mob dies and you ding 40.
That would be cool but if that’s the case why are they buffing us for a later phase when we are almost if not last. I get that we offer a lot of support but it’s brutal this phase with gnomer bosses having so much armor melee don’t need a support if they can hardly get a spot as it is.
So I know I have been the guy complaining about Bear tank issues for 2+months now… And as glad as I am we have had some of our more major issues fixed…
I can’t help but point out the SoD team really needs to look at lacerate being able to be taken at the same time as mangle… as of right now with these changes it makes lacerate EVEN MORE of a terrible choice… now we will just use swipe to fill our rotation when mangle is on CD and we have excess rage… this is the role the lacerate ability had when it was added in TBC and the only role it is really suited for…
LACERATE IS NOT A STAND ALONE TANK ABILITY… it is a filler
also I would very much like to point out and ask blizzard why bears are unable to use their SOTF rune and WS rune at the same time?
Windfury does not work on a feral druid only wild strikes… so in order to get WS on your bear tank he must either NOT run his tanking rune… or have a Cat in the same group (Group wide buff not raid wide) and for 10m content this really kinda pigeon holes bears…
We have a dead as* rune slot for our legs as bears atm… why not move SOTF to the legs? I honestly dont understand why this hasnt been even looked at yet
Shadow Priests had the second highest minimum. The worst Shadow Priest is better than the worst of each class besides melee hunters. This is also true for our average, which is higher than every other class aside from melee hunters

Please consider changing the two-handed rune for Shaman and making Lava Lash useable when wielding a two-hander. It is leagues behind in potential compared to Dual Wield. Being able to use Rockbiter at the same time as Windfury would fix a lot of the issues. Two Handed Shaman are iconic to classic and should be on par with dual wield at the very least.

Boss 1: spriest on average is behind Warlock and rogue by 1.5dps, which honestly is just a crit roll. All 3 are behind melee hunter by 100dps.
Boss 2: behind fire mage by less than 1dps, both behind melee hunter by about 80 dps.
Boss 3: behind melee hunter by 40 dps, ahead of #3 by 13 dps
Boss 4: behind Warlock by 14 dps
Boss 5: behind fire mage by 6 dps
Boss 6: behind melee hunter by 40dps, ahead of #3 by 9 dps.
They seem pretty solid. And no you can’t and shouldn’t just look at the max dps rankings, because those are way more skewed by random bs and abuse to get high dps than the actual balance of the class suggests.
They also heal a crap ton. I was watching a SP player run Gnomer and they were topping both the DPS and Healing meters for their raid group. Thats crazy.
If anything they should move Savage Roar to chest and WS to legs.
Skull Bash and sotf are both pretty important PvP runes. Not being able to take them both would make feral even worse than it is now in PvP, and it’s not great now.
They need to remove savage roar entirely and replace it. Its terrible. Only class that needs to waste 2 globals to do full damage. Suck a garbage ability.

Balance druids can kill us in 3 insta cast ability’s
Shamans run up to us and just auto us or lighting bolt us and we die.
Warriors just charge us. trinket our fear kill us even if we dispersion they just zug zug run and finish us off.
Melee hunters are actually BROKEN (i know hunters dont deserve more nerfs but sorry melee belongs to warriors not a hunter)

I don’t see them removing a rune ever. They nerfd mangle by 30% for some insane reason, I guess just to hurt our ability to kill things solo and to PvP. Even though we were already bad at both lol.
I personally think it would be ideal if they just fused mangle and lacerate into the same rune: strong mangle for cat, weaker mangle + lacerate for Bear. Then added in a new glove rune that is appealing for killing mobs, like some small aoe ability, swipe for cat/increase bear swipe beyond 3 targets.
Let us have a choice of runes to take based on the situation like every other class has, instead of “these are just your new abilities”.
