You actually can get a solid dps increase with this (enough that I’m going to try it for this lockout to see if it is better than Synergy), it just makes mana more of an issue (Back when it was only 1 tick, it was much worse), but in this new state, if you refresh your dots with 5-6 seconds left, you can get an overall significant dps increase but with a higher mana cost (same damage per mana efficiency, but taking up more mana per second)

Are pets being nerfed again as a way to nerf melee hunters instead of nerfing them directly?
you are insain, shammys are already broken as heck they need nerfs not buffs, pvp is 60% shammy 30% druid and 10% others on horde side, its goten to the point i refuse to even do PVP, shammys have no counterplay they beat every other class unless you can perma hard chain CC them
Shamans aren’t broken I don’t see them limping. Their bones seem perfectly fine to me.
your failing to realize that unless you play Horde hunter Prot paladins will have enough Talent points not to go deep prot and still get Concacration and holy paladins will beable to splash far enough prot to get it so they will have kings and hunters wont have to run it in raids
maybe i’ll consider the talent if it gives me 10% more stats passively before applying buff so I can “double dip” like the hunters do with the rune
Melee hunter was a little too strong compared to most classes, but they were very lazy in how they nerfed it. Because they also nerfed ranged BM hunters, who were not that strong in raids.
They keep nerfing hunters even when it isnt the top, and ignore those above hunters.
Warriors had already passed hunters before the nerf and rogue was 1-2 weeks off of passing as well due to scaling. Neither got nerfed
I don’t agree with the nerf, especially since it also nerfed ranged bm hunters, but because melee hunter wasn’t out of control. Rather they bring up the under performing specs.
And the fact they didnt nerf the other top performers who were already past or about to pass melee hunter just dhows their bais.
Munter should do more damage than a warrior (outside id their 30 min CD) or rogue because it has none of the melee utility, no mobility, survival CDs, taunt, etc.
explain how was this hunter in winterspring able to pull 100-0 on a 3sec stun on me? had pw:s/inner fire up, bestial wrath and stun and i was pretty much dead.

Put your dots on the hunter (and pet if you have time) as pet is closing the distance, use dispersion as pet connects and take 90% less damage.
Was 100% a skill issue on your part.
The hunter has to use CDs immediately vs you to win, so he wont hold off on them. And if the hunter is out of range kill the pet then you can outheal hunters damage while he rots to your dots.
I kinda feel like the smart money would have been on nerfing offhand damage from Raptor Strike on the dual wield rune instead of this change. This nerfs BM ranged hunters which weren’t very good to start with, and also nerfs 2H melee hunters who’s existence was mostly trolling. If you nerfed offhand instead, then there would be more parity between all of the hunter specs.

MM is better dor pvp than bm, the pet is easy to burst down, as is the hunter.
you gotta be kiding me, right? hunter got the open on me first, with a 3 sec stun, , dispersion was on cd and so was my trinket. you cant defend this - i was dead on a 3sec stun. 3100hp, pw:s up and inner fire. - not even rogues does this damage on a kidney shot.
And still you all neglect warriors. Better hope you got some good/fun QoL runes for the next phase or those numbers gonna keep on dropping.
So you had no CDs left, the hunter got the jump on you, and used his CDs, and you think its op that he won?
We live in a burst meta, EVERYONE does absurd damage. But no, its clearly a hunter pet problem…
