Ignores Shiv/Main gauche and shadow strike and brother that buff to saberslash aint gonna be enough to make players switch from sealed fate stacking with muti
Resto Druid perspective on the Druid tuning changes:
- The Natural Weapons talents now increases all damage done by druids in Season of Discovery, instead of just physical damage.
Ok, so our boomie brethren cried hard that the 5 points in Natural Weapons was basically wasted because they don’t melle barely ever and yet they had to put those points in to get clearcasting… Of all the things Blizzard ought to be hearing through the noise we all make here they seem to have picked up on that. Whoopee. As a resto druid I’m also stuck putting 5 points into this nonsense for no reason other than getting clear casting and this change helps me not a whit. Thanks a bunch.
- The Gale Winds rune now reduces the mana cost of Hurricane by 60%.
I don’t see how anyone could look at this and think anything other than “meh”.
- Swiftmend no longer consumes a Rejuvenation or Regrowth effect on the target when used.
This is a small positive step. I’m guessing it is really just a lazy fix to the problem that Swiftmend had been consuming other druid’s HoTs now that our HoTs are stackable. Which is a shame because if Blizzard wanted to help Resto Druids out they could add to this Swiftmend change in a couple of ways and make it work so much better. Try: “Swiftmend now heals for an amount equal to 0.3 * up to 5 full duration HoT effect Rejuv or Regrowth effects that are presently on the target. Swiftmend now adds half the crit chance of each regrowth that it drew healing from to its own crit chance.” This would make the Improved Regrowth talent, the Living Seed rune, the Exiled Prophet 3-set bonus and stacking multiple druid healers in raid all make more sense.
I’m just personally wondering how ele shaman is supposed to be being bought up by receiving a nerf? The MD play style is horrible. You need to give us a rune that buffs our dps, not one that’s still worse than the one you don’t want us to use.
On one hand they did say a “rework” is coming, maybe it’ll address that.
On the other hand, they seem fixated to not make MD a ranged DPS rune, even though MD proc off spells seems the most easy and viable fix to our PvE single target damage.
3 target Burn would still be solid enough for PvP considering the extra PS chance and the current lack of hard casting opportunities.
PvE buffs are feasible without boosting already oppressive PvP classes. For example, add some sort of ramp-up mechanic to increase damage as the fight goes on. A flat DPS boost addresses the PvE issue but makes PvP worse.
ya but at the end of the day here’s the conclusion: theres not a single 1 dominant class/spec in SoD in p3 that needs a nerf bc its “so strong” in 1v1s group and/or pve combined. right now is the most SoD has ever been balanced and i predict in p4 it’ll be for the most part near perfect but ofc noobs will still complain and cry when they don’t get their way its simple human child-like behavior that will be rampant in online video games until the end of time. But ya i.e, right now ppl still complaining about anything but their own class. it’s a trend to complain on SoD. i cannot believe the average SoD player’s age is mid to high 25-35+ absolutely insane man.

This won’t put Shadow Priest at the top of DPS meters where they want to be… for some odd reason.
It will further increase the PvP viability of Shadow Priest which is already beyond broken.

I think you missed the point of the video a little bit. Yes rogues are crazy too but 2 dots killing someone also crazy. The point I was making is pvp needs to get balanced more not just keep giveing everything more damge even worse a class that can 2 dot and afk. The priest also should of disperse and easily win that fight but he was undergeared.

i am fully aware their pve single target dps is not great, but a flat % shadow damage buff when they are already incredibly dominant (IMO the single strongest PVP spec) in PVP and have strong AOE is just a shockingly lazy and terrible buff.
Isn’t the entire point of these runes to allow blizz to introduce new flexibility and playstyles to a class?
How just simply slapping on 10% extra damage to EVERYTHING they do following this philosophy?

I will not be continuing my rank 7 push on my war, spriests and boomkins are already a nightmare and now they’re both getting a huge flat buff with no downside.
meanwhile, i continue to push my wheelchair around, getting 100-0% in CC from 35y away.
Yeah I’m more than happy to not have to use MD. It’s garbage for ele. Just the change they implemented didn’t give us a rune that was better than MD. Burn is currently simming worse than losing lava burst and instead using MD and lava lash together. The Devs should hit up one of the big brains from the shaman discord if they really are this clueless.
PVP is a side activity in the game right now. It’s pretty obvious with how all way to farm PVP items, are really replaced with easier ways to do it. AB Rep? Blood Moon. WSG Rep? Literally a Boss Rush Event originally, now a PVE Daily.
Ranks? Literally farmable in BM which is easy to get random kills in or play BG’s and just sit around your teammates farming honor, you don’t even need to win. All signs point to PVE being an absolute afterthought, of course the balance isn’t focused on it.
Very poor Paladin changes, that appeal to only old players stuck in a bygone era of their class being so bad they needed to literally take advantage of a broken system to get any additional effect out of the tool-kit.
We shouldn’t be going BACK toward a literal broken playstyle that maybe 10% or less of the community even knows how to do or cares to do it. I want a real slow and strong based Paladin playstyle, one that doesn’t rely on something as annoying as seal-twisting to be viable, but has a PROPER rotation we can do instead.
They’d be better off adding ranked pvp, so the actual pvp’ers can come in and make the classic crybabies realize they actually hate pvp.

Nobody ever liked seal twisting, exo spam is far better than twisting would ever be.
Hopefully they just give up on this horrible idea.

Im a bit confused why warrior isn’t on this list, they are widely regarded as the weakest class in pvp by a large margin. are there any plans on moving gladiator stance from feet to pants? that would give glad stance wars access to two extremely useful runes while filling a semi empty leg slot for them.
