How about looking at mana regen and water? It’s been a serious issue since the start. Not playing the game is not fun and if people want that type of gameplay they have era.

Or maybe shedding some light on the numbers being changed here? “A modest amount” is a really odd way of saying “barely any”. What does “significantly” mean here? should we be expecting this change to be roughly equal to the regen from shamanistic rage?
That’s the issue. It’s like saying the sky is blue. Nobody has any idea what “significant” will do.

Will this be something tangible or will this just be like 5 extra mana? If paladins are about to start regening mana in an equal amount that shamans were while running their rune it should be something we can feel while playing.
I already do not feel like the base mana regen from martyr was at all worthwhile for the raid so I would really like more than adjectives here for sure.
I’m wondering why change Seal of Martyrdom when they could have changed Guarded by the Light, Maybe remove its healing debuff and spread the mana return over the entire raid within 40 yards.
Right now with the SoM change, there’s literally no better option for a chest rune than SoM and that goes for ANY spec.
They just keep buffing this rune when no one asked for it and ignore any other suggestions from the community that actually make sense.

Ice Lance: Base damage up from 60 to 75, scaling Coefficient increased from 0.15 per SP to 0.25 per SP

Arcane Surge is now reworked to be a chronomatic spell (Fire, Frost, and Arcane) and to have a 3-second cast time but gives 1500% mana regen (to match evocation) and damage has been reduced by 30%

Because no Ret Paladin is going to take Guarded by the Light over Art of War.
Even if they buff Divine Storm/Seal of Command to be on par with Seal of Martyrdom, Art of War is still going to be far and above the best rune in both pvp and pve for Ret.

Pretty sure 90% of alliance guilds are only alliance because at least 1 person in their group demanded they play ret paladin.
Lots of Rets have rerolled by this point. We’re actually the least represented dps class in PvE if you combine Ele with Enh Shamans and Frost/Arcane with Fire Mages.
The design philosophy towards Ret Paladin experienced a rather dramatic shift from Phase 1 to Phase 2. Phase 1 we were having a lot of fun throwing Avenger’s Shields around in PvP and Exorcisms in PvE, getting to use Divine Storm and Seal of Command to have multiple fun buttons.
Then, Phase 2 arrives and SoM is buffed so much that we lose Divine Storm/SoC build. Rets quit over that, and they also quit/rerolled over the Shaman Supremacy that took place in the second half of Phase 2.
In Phase 3, Blizzard has only gone further into this whole “fast weapon, rapid exorcism” meta for Ret Paladins, which a lot of players don’t like. Especially since it still puts Ret near the bottom of the dps rankings, while Enh Shamans remain way in the lead.
It’ll be interesting to see how any of the Ret holdouts still trying to run DS/SoC will react to SoM becoming truly the only playstyle left to us at this point. We’ll probably have some more Ret players quit, while other players reroll Ret to tryhard and bring more mana to their raids.
I’m not sure why you wouldnt take the best performing players to get a grasp on how the class performs… isn’t that the obvious choice? Look at people who are using it correctly…?
RPGs are meant to be driven by player choice, hence the name of the genre… It feels more like you’re seeing WoW as a spreadsheet and not a game with this comment.
And no, no one knew what classes were going to do in Season of Discovery. They said we would be able to use multiple weapons, chase a pirate aesthetic if we wanted for tank, etc. They haven’t delivered on any of that, shrug. I don’t really see how it’s “selfish” to want more choices for other gamers anyways lol. I am a dagger rogue main almost always, would jus be nice to discover™ the other stuff as well.
It’s my hope that they made the lvl60 build that worked and was fun, then tried hard to split it into 4 categories lol. Maybe that’s jus hopium though. We’ll see how p4 goes maybe.

You guys don’t seem to know anything about paladins and are trying to make them this fast swing garbage, please reach out to me for help. I’d rather have seal twisting back for rewarding rotation DPS than pushing exo after all my auto attacks with a gimmick weapon.
Stop making Ret a joke, make it more difficult but very rewarding.
PLEASE buff the drop chance of Modas Karkun. Or at least increase portal spawn rate because this is AWFUL just for a tank dagger. Literally no fun, just pain.
