I’m just happy we have Shammy rage because without it we’d be toast, but if they wanted to diversify the mana recovery like they did for Paladin and Boomie and then weaken Shammy Rage, I would be absolutely okay with that. Running Earth shield in PvP would be nice, or AGuidance in Raid would be pretty hot too.
I just want to be able to push my buttons and have to be mindful of mana as opposed to dreading it. (I don’t want to have the mana to have Fire Nova/Magma totem as part of my rotation as that would be busted, but I want to be able to keep up at least a Stormstrike, Lava Lash, Earth Shock/Flame Shock rotation.)
Skull Bash is still important for spell interruptions for both pve since the range is allowable to 0 yards. This also eliminates feral dps spell interruption for pvp.
While I like the idea of using Lacerate and mangle for tanking, it changes feral dps considerably and its utility for pve fights.
Having fel hunter is not better, the fel hunter doesn’t taunt or tank. That’s why locks enjoy using haunt with soul link during world quests from 40-50. I did for a good amount of it. The only time you actually NEED meta is for elites, even then it’s only ones that can’t be feared. Tons of locks are running soul link and haunt while pvp’ing.
I still run Haunt for Elites over Meta. With Soul Link I don’t have the need for meta and I feel
I have less downtime. I also get less resists since my damage is all helped with Suppression.
There’s also the issue of have to go in and out of form while questing to mount up. I love Haunt/Felguard/Soul Link for that and all the rest over Meta while solo.
The whining about horde is obnoxious. I have toons both sides and have ran ST on both. Post nerf ST is not a problem for either faction, stop the 24/7 whining, it’s getting ridiculous. Shamans have been nerfed and are no longer absurdly OP. I’m seeing paladins beat shamans in pvp all the time now. Catch them in a hoj and it’s often game over.
all these male troll creeps and fatass male tauren shamans complaining about overcharged while they could just go tank rune and build stam/armor as I rot trying to gank and kill them. Yeah, beware soon. You won’t be safe noobs.
Maybe if it looks like a cow, smells like a cow and tastes like beef its a cow not a chicken. There wouldn’t be this much complaining if there wasn’t a justified reason, horde is incredibly imbalanced with shamans, better quest rewards and better racials.
I don’t understand the move either. It kills our utility. Having mangle is great, but skull bash is also great situationally, and it is great for PvP as feral DPS.
Feral charge has a range requirement, while skull bash can used in close quarters.
Shaman tanks again gutted, 80 % of the shaman performance in P3 was lightning shield and just was good to tank in trash pulls, in bosses wasnt op or have noticeable damage. It just was a constant thread generator.
Now tank shamans have:
Overload: nerfed 66% main source of damage/thread
Shield mastery: Garbage in bosses (never stacks in single target) and just provide mana/armor in big pulls.
Molten blast: Ridiculous low damage and efficience, the damage is the half of the spell cost.
Way of earth: Obey shaman tanks to use rockbitter (a 90% nerfed ability)
Maelstrom weapon: Giving 1 stack every 10 seconds because just work well with windfury and duel wield. works well for dps and is very poor for tanks.
Spirit of the alpha: A rune that only gives thread, alliance always have it. Easily can be a book.
Mental dextery: Probably the unique good tank rune, affected directly by rockbitter.
The phase 3 for tank shamans was be a niche AoE tank. shaman arent the best option vs bosses. the adjustment should be put a cap of affected targets and thats all.
They actually put 0 forethought into anything ever and have no clue about what’s going on in the game at any given time
Also the idea to tie runes to gear for no reason whatsoever is absolute stupidity
A bit harsher than I would like, but it doesn’t cripple the ability so I’m okay with it.
Can we revisit RB? Shaman Raid tanking is the pits right now.
Can we have it back to full AP and limit it to mainhand? (Or at least have it increase threat generated from MH attacks be increased by a LOT? I’m not looking to be P2 Enhance Tank…just actually viable as a tank in ST.)
Except now you lose skull bash for Feral DPS which is a great interrupt for some fights and PvP. I would rather choose between Skull Bash and Lacerate. Swipe is still great threat generator at the moment, but you do lose out on rage generation without lacerate.
