now people are literally farming the rune vendor quest item and camping tagging the mobs selling them for 19g woohoo best design ever SOD.
ive been a bit concerned myself with the fact there seems to be no rhyme or reason between the power distribution within one rune ability. mainly the tanking ones. They get so much power with just one little rune that theres no way it can be balanced.
they arent using any kind of system like ilvl on items to evenly distribute a runes power across runes.
shaman tank rune
metamorph
pally tank rune
these add insane power for little cost
release the recipes today plx
I see the king of paladins Esfand use matyrdom all the time. and he KNOWS pallies. he has a clip saying hes the best paladin in game duh
Paladin with CS feels so much better in terms of ‘active combat’.
You really shouldn’t be required to use specific professions to make a class ‘work’ in a role.
This would make DS+SoC broken beyond all reason. I did some ‘napkin’ math and to get DS to hit about as hard as it hits now. You’d drop the damage modifier for DS to 60%/65% weapon damage if it was dealing Holy damage. Worked out to be about as much as “110% weapon damage against a target with 40% damage reduction via Armor”. – I didn’t do the mathing for CS, but it’s probably around 50% of weapon damage as Holy damage.
However, since you could now spec into Imp. RF…that would bring the threat from Holy up to either 120% (80%+40% from "50% increase) or 130% (80%+50%); depending on how they want the talent to interact with it. I think in Vanilla it was the first, because I’m pretty sure with Imp. RF I had 90% threat, with the base RF giving 60%.
Another thing to consider is Blizzard eventually does acknowledge the issue in Cata, when RF is switched to boost all damage threat instead of just Holy damage. – Which likely wouldn’t have been needed if all our abilities did Holy damage.
As for HoR’s threat…I still rip threat off from the ‘main target’ with non-warrior tanks; Cleaves fer days.
I don’t think it’s a ‘skill issue’, it’s a ‘CD issue’. There’s just not a lot to do as a paladin tank; Judge and Auto attack. Throw in Consecration, Divine Storm, or Avenger’s Shield if you got them. But, again, the CDs are way to long when compared to DPS that have 1.5 second CDs (GCD) on their main attack moves.
martyr is effing amazing in group play. anyone who disagrees is a mindless DPS high number chasing zoomer bad of a paladin.
Hi Eyr!!! So glad youre having fun in SoD!!
I know you were the biggest hater before the game launched, and now you swapped forum characters to avoid getting exposed for this, but im glad youre having fun playing SoD!!!
Nerf retnoobs
Pallies have their strengths, and they have their weaknesses, just like every other class.
Did the “more later this week” apply to additional class changes, or was that for the tailoring recipes?
my weakness is just being the outright worst healer for the next 2 or so phases and not being able to stand up to anything at all.
That guy lol. He has a full on breakdown the 2nd people disagree with anything he says on paladins, its hilarious.
At least your AoE isn’t a very expensive ward with 5 health that draws aggro from every mob in it’s vicinity that doesn’t actively have threat on a target.
These changes are all well and good, but I REALLY want to see them either add a high threat modifier to Shadow Cleave (Warlock melee swipe) or increase threat % for meta form to like 75% instead of 50%.
Welcome to classic
Any chance we can get a return on MP from Living Flame or another Rune ability? An MP generator would be fantastic. Hopefully we get something in the next phase.
Lmao cry is free Velour. Bug got fixed. You’re still special and you matter!
Good changes! and I appreciate the An additional update is underway, and will be added to the game until later this week: Eager to see what it might be maybe Blacksmithing, more class changes, Removal of or reduction of BG damage dampening, Premade BG ques into Premade? Nonetheless moving in good directions!!
You been following these forums since the nerf? Theres half a dozen ret pallies here absolutely losing their minds over this nerf. Youd think blizzard killed their dogs
That’s a funny way of spelling Arcane Surge.
I mean why is a fire spell getting benefit from arcane charges … arcane surge makes more sense.
