Season of Discovery Class Tuning - December 19

wild growth needs to be tuned back too. most hps in raid druids we should keep nerfing whoever is at the top. and balance the game based on pvp comments in general forum.

i’ve been super impressed by how proactive they’ve been with SoD.

One of those things that makes me hopefuly about the future of it, despite some of the…“oddities” of the community.

Because ret countering everyone was more fair?

I beg your pardon?

How about a change so Mages don’t end up wanding for 50% of an encounter after we run OOM within the first 2 minutes, or water that doesn’t take 2 at a time to refill our mana? No? Okay, didn’t think so.

He’s not wrong. Shamans counter Paladins ridiculously hard in vanilla. Just wait until phase 2

I mean currently in SoD. When they can HoF through Earthbind and Frostshock, Avenger Shield when we make distance, and then come smack us with their iLevel 31 Verigan’s Fist.

Purge all that stuff. Even their seals can be purged, preventing their dmg and the ability to cast judgment. Keep them cleaned is the key.

Interesting, thank you! I’ve never played a class with an offensive dispell before, I must learn to use it more aggressively.

Will try that next time I’m being ganked in Hillsbrad tonight.

Anyway, I still think it’s completely fair that the Daze on Avenger’s Shield can now be trinketed like every other CC in the game.

You guys forgot to nerf hunters this patch. I think their auto shot needs a bit of tuning. Also, can we please nerf boars - they are way too OP with their charge and ability to eat pretty much everything.

Our mana is okay, and raid can buy potions. What shamans really need is a 30 yard Flame Shock to match the 30 yard of Lava Burst, so that it doesn’t feel clunky please.

Ty for bringing Avenger’s shield back to planet earth and for reading my message.

Any thoughts on not making Blade Dance a finisher? Or Shaman’s Way of the Earth just always being active?

I don’t understand who is making these choices going “Yeah… they’re gonna definitely want an addon to remind them to keep that up, excellent design.”

You gave it to Warlocks – but you made it so annoying to get that I still haven’t even been in a group with a warlock tank.

I don’t get the philosophy behind giving us cool things for Season of Discovery but intentionally making them hard to get/clunky.

What are we discovering by forcing people to grind to get these runes (I’m all for epic quests… but collecting boxes one at a time and bringing them to town? I’m not doing that.) or gating them behind doing the raid… Is this a “Let’s see how hard people are willing to work for a watered down crappy version of a thing they want, knowing full well its clunky.”

It makes no sense to me. I don’t even wanna put in the effort to get half of these runes. The simple fact that Blade Dance is a finisher is enough to make me look at it and go “That is not well thought out, what happens in the beginning of the pull? I guess you’re just squishy then… I bet that makes it frustrating… tab targeting and losing your CP is gonna suck… bet it’s gonna feel pretty energy starved.” and not want to bother with it.

Why does it need to be frustrating. What are we doing here? Like… the whole point is to make something fun and try some whacky stuff I thought?

Just want to thank the SoD devs for their stance on ret paladins. Hopefully we see more nerfs in the future!

You could overlap with a higher level blade dance, this change will just lead to goobers spamming blade dance and saber slash and complaining about class design when it doesn’t magically make them good tanks.

No fix for 200 damage lightning breath serpent pet? nice blizzard.

Every time a barely geared person tries to 1v1 me, I just assume they rush to the forums to whine about hunter

hitting 200 damage on a geared warrior with a ranged attack on a pet isnt balanced, reported for trolling.

Making changes after you realize that something is broken is not being proactive.

That is being reactive.
