Iām well aware of what it was. And they nerfed it and left it as is without reverting it even once S2 took over and the ilvl jump alone beat out the S1 tier set. When they put it up for vote, they never said anything about reverting the nerfs.

Sure. 4 pieces at 500 ilvl while the rest of your gear is 486 ilvl, sure.
When youāre geared up, aka your average ilvl is 512+ it pulls ahead. Meaning it is tuned.
This isnāt the only spec that a equipping low level tier set asap results in a net loss. Gear up
Can you go and troll somewhere else? WCL speaks another language. Balance is floor and sims are clearly showing situations where it might be a slightly better option to run 4pc is full heroic upgrades. This is garbage. An upgrade should feel like an upgrade.

No, thatās just having 4 items at 522ilvl, if you had the 4 piece at 522 and the rest of your gear at or above 500 instead of sitting back at 486 like youāre arguing around, it becomes an upgrade.
Go get gear outside of the tier set and stop complaining about nothing.

I had to add 111 total item levels to my Tier slots pieces to get a 400 DPS increase (with the new 4P). The new 2 and 4 set is garbage. Its a downgrade in every single way to how the class feels and plays. This should be unacceptable considering blizzard stated they would bring each classes tier set and power levels in line with everyone elseās tier set.
Instead of a Forum vote, they should have just let us āvoteā through a token/vendor purchase. Give access to all three sets at the increased I-lvl and let individuals decide their play-style.
It would have meant balancing 3 sets, but it couldnāt be any worse than balancing 4 Covenants. There would be a mathematical winner, but player agency is never a bad thing and itās a throw away season anyway.
Which equates to roughly 28 ilvls per slot. Like going from 486 to 512. In just those slots.
1But thatās not how balance works. They donāt balance the class around acquiring your tier set at 493 ilvl where your total ilvl is still only 488. Just like they donāt balance raids around normal difficulty.
Balance is around about that 515-520 aggregated ilvl. You know, like you added 475 ilvls + tier set to your current character.
And while Balance Druid may not be the best of the best even at 522, itās still going to be ahead of trying to hold onto your 3 piece and losing out on 10-12 ilvls overall.
Please learn how these things work before spouting off.

Edit: For clarification (since you seem to need it) - iām not saying S4 tier is better than S3 tier. There was a reason I voted S3. What iām saying is that once you gear up, trading in your tier set to S4 is no longer a DPS loss.
