Season 2 duelist illusion missing (solved)

I saw a few posts a while ago talking about how Shadowflame will be the next illusion obtainable exclusively through pvp. I was looking on the PTR when I found that the Shadowflame illusion is a drop from the raid (see wowhead link). My question is blizz. Are we going to see the next illusion be released on s2 launch or do we need to wait again until the 10.1.7 patch like in season 1?

Shadowflame has been confirmed by Blizz to be the s2 illusion. Im so glad I was wrong about this thread. I cant wait to use the new illusion.

Ya it looks real neat, but it was never confirmed to be a pvp illusion. Likely it’s not. Im also really curious though as to what the s2 illusion will be!

Have they had more than one PvP illusion enchant per expansion in the past? Thought it just stayed the same every season.

SL had different ones for each season.

Interesting, good to know. Given how… underwhelming… the season 1 enchant is, I hope that’s the case.

The trend started in Shadowlands. They pulled some asset from Sylv fight to whip up the s2 enchant which wasn’t popular but I appreciate that we aren’t getting the same one for 4-5 seasons.

Very much feels like Winter’s grasp with a few extra sparkles. It isn’t that it looks bad per say, it just… Isn’t as telling as to where it came from as in the past. Part of my problem is I got it for the Grand Marshal staff for my priesty… and it barely shows on the grand marshal staff because the placement.

Guys im at work but go put your primal storm enchant on one of the glowing swords it looks awesome

(Spellflame blade maybe?)

Yeah, part of the problem for me is that the area it places it at on the grand marshal’s staff, is the biggest area with the max amount of glow already, so it ends up not standing out at all.

maybe some day weapon illusions will matter to hunters… but prob not…

Honestly the S1 enchant would be really good if they just increased the density and visibility of the lightning.

Not sure why they always give us what feels like the low-res package.

Maybe that’s my issue with it. It’s just not all that flashy compared to other enchants. I don’t mind subtle enchants per say, it’s just, that was always a trademark of the high rated enchants was they were super over the top.
