Maybe that was the trade off.
I don’t think we can make this conclusion with certainty. Shadowflame Wreathe is an actual enchant, not an illusion. It is possible that that is its visual effect, but enchants for the past few expansions have not had their own visual effects, ever since illusions became a thing.
I still believe Shadowflame will be the Duelist illusion.
