Is it possible to get the sea turtle mount from pools in Cataclysm zones? or is it still only Northrend zones?

You should be able to get it from Cataclysm pools.

Yes, that’s how I got mine.
I recommend going to Twilight Highlands and fish for Guppies. You’ll make some gold while farming for it.
