There’s been multiple claims of this and video proof by noteworthy people like Supatease last expansion. It’s clearly an issue… Cheating in WoW has always been an issue.

Rotation scripting is very real however from my investigation the two huge sites have vanished as did obvious cheaters like fnatic the outlaw rogue. I believe cheating is extremely rare in the first place but as of right now it may be nearly non existent.
I had a warrior insta stormbolt me the millisecond my stun ended in a bg blitz the other day and he wasn’t targeting me. I would be very surprised if it wasn’t some kind of bot.

That’s not really what a bot does…
Bots were very prevalent in DF for ele sham, they even had DH ones. They’re really good at doing insane amounts of damage and min-maxing every GCD because if you have 3 players up and idk 5 pets the bot can target each one for every GCD to maximize flameshock up time etc.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see aff locks have a script just like in WoD. There was video proof of interrupt scripts in DF, there was also that macro that worked for awhile to spam interrupt but only use during a cast lul.
To claim people aren’t cheating despite the vast history of evidence that has been brought forth in video proof over the years is a wild take.
