Basically the title says it all, when equipping items (spam equipping makes it more obvious) the screen flickers briefly.
I’ve cleared, reset, removed, etc… add-ons, settings, WTF.
Drivers are up-to-date with latest and greatest from Nvidia.
Curious if anyone else can reproduce this? (fairly easy to do and very obvious)

I’ve been having screen flickering issues since patch too, though mine seem to happen randomly in combat. :s
I’m getting this too but it seems to be only during load screens, almost like it’s adjusting gamma briefly then returning to the previous setting.
I’ve been getting this since the patch as well, and spent a lot of time today trying different things. I’ve gone in with all addons disabled, tried a lot of different graphics settings (from everything on low to high-ish), and nothing seems to help much. I’ve personally noticed it happening under the following conditions:
-Item swapping (as mentioned by OP)
-Dismounting (very noticeable during honey farm)
-Oddly enough, whenever I press Aspect of the Wild.
Running latest nvidia drivers on a GTX1660.

I’m having the same exact flicker issue when shapeshifting Druid forms.
Maaaan this patch is just full of bugs isn’t it? 
I have done some investigating and found that it appears to be directly related to the in-game gamma setting, specifically when set to anything but the default gamma of 1.
The further from 1 you have the gamma set to, the more pronounced the effect.
I would seem that the game is periodically switching to the default gamma then back again. For those experiencing the issue, check your gamma settings and see if they are set to something other than 1.
It would be nice to see a resolution however, personally I like to drop the gamma down slightly in this game.
I am getting the exact same thing, doesn’t matter if its dx11/11 legacy or 12. It also happens if you use mounts that you turn into, and its super bad in north eastern nazjatar, i made a post with a video about it as well. I am glad it isn’t just me!
Same Here. Flickering appears to happen more often in World. I don’t really notice it in Mythic+? Some areas for example, Azerite quest in Nazmir gets it in spades.
I am very glad that you posted this. I am getting a similar flickering but it happens to me when I shapeshift on my druid. Exact same effect.
Is everyone nividia users? I have been having serious issues with their latest drivers + this game lately.
I’ve experienced this also along with the freezing/lagging during quest turn ins. Both have started since 8.2.5
Also getting this while in Arena.
I have had a lot of flickering and odd graphics artifacts since 8.2 release.
Same thing is happening to me.
Update: Looks like they’re aware of the issue and working out a solution.
I can attest to this, several gamma (like setting changes) flickers during loading screens. Also notice it happens during fishing when I cast the rod.
Not to sort of necro this thread or anything but this exact thing is happening to me, but throughout all aspects of play. It is exceptionally bad during combat, and is almost seizure inducing. What the hell is causing it?
I have this issue too, when I’m on a mount, switching armor or using BM Hunter abilities … the screen will flicker just like the video, glad it’s not my new comp!
