Newest Nvidia drivers 440.97 appear to fix this or some of the issue with flickering. I am going to try these in hopes they do just that. Can read about it here. They will be uploaded to the Nvidia servers shortly.

Was a no go, originally I thought it had fixed most of it and it appeared to do so but upon going to nazjatar and spam switching weapons or turning into a mount and falling to the ground the black flashing/flickering still happens. However with that being said it has been confirmed by a blue that this issue isn’t just a driver thing, it is on the dev’s radar so you are not going crazy at least.

YES!! This has been driving me nuts for all of 8.2. I noticed it most in some areas in Drustvar and Vuldun and other BFA locations - but not entire zones - mostly areas with intense lighting such as the snowy areas and sand dunes. Does not happen in instances or battlegrounds. My flickering usually occurs in windwalker spec when firing off various abilities… The greatfather hearthstone even causes it. Any pre-bfa zones seem fine and unaffected. Ive removed all addons, cleared the cache and wtf folders. Reapplied drivers, rolled back drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled windows and re-installed the game. It happens even when i switch to onboard graphics, which i only did for troubleshooting. There’s hope though. I installed 8.3 ptr and ran around killing things in windwalker spec in the places i noticed the most flickering and it seems to be all but fixed. Hang in there, not much longer.
I think I have all but fixed it in my game. I was having the problem on my desktop PC as well as my laptop. My game was already set to 1 but it was still doing it.
I then went into the NVIDIA control panel and turned Antialiasing - Gamma correction to OFF. This has now fixed my issue on both computers.
Check your NVIDIA control panel settings if you’re still having this issue.

I’m having the exact same flashing issue. I first noticed my screen flashing, in and out, in combat on my Priest when casting Holy Nova and Divine Star. I have the same problem on my druid when switching in and out of my forms.
I’ve tried all the methods I’ve found in this thread and the problem persists.
