Screen flickering

I’m having the exact issue that is being discussed in another post :

Screen flicker in Classic

I’ve been seeing a frequent screen flicker since playing Classic. I think it happens in wide open zones. Here is a gif of it happening in Desolace. I’m not sure what the problem is because I never had this in retail and I haven’t changed anything about my computer or WoW settings. The display driver is up to date. Having the same problem. Are you running 4k HDR on your computer? I noticed if I turn off HDR and just run 4k normally, the flicker goes away. But as soon as you enable HDR content (on my system) the flicker comes back with a vengeance.

How do you enable / Disable HDR?

I’m on Windows 7.

Updated my Graphics drivers to the latest, restored to default, and still experiencing this problem

I am the OP of the thread that was linked here.

I figured this out on my own since making that thread. Go to the physical buttons on the monitor and go into the video settings area. Turn off FreeSync and use a different picture setting. It will instantly fix this. I was very happy to finally solve it. (Not sure how to fix it if FreeSync is a must for you.)

Thanks for the info. It’s a shame you were the saving grace here and Blizzard isn’t able to provide proper information
