Scouting map is blank in Boralus yet there's a ! above it

As the titles says, the scouting map in Boralus is blank. I’m new to the game so I don’t really know what to expect. I’ve read up on this “issue” and some people are saying you have to complete a certain quest to unlock the scouting map. I’ve completed the entire Kul Tiras story line I think. I revealed the plot with the pirates and everything was happily ever after. I was sent back to the harbormasters office with news of parley acceptance. Then there was an exclamation mark over the scouting map, which was lucky because I didn’t have any more quests in my log related to the story. Except when I open it… blank. Just a regular ol’ map. Nothing to click on or select, no words… just blank. So I’m hard stuck and can’t progress. I’ve been googling and forum searching for hours now. I tried relogging, starting a side quest, logging into other characters, nothing fixed it. I also disabled addons and relogged. Nuthin. (I only run 4 addons anyway).

EDIT: what? the tag says wow classic?? I don’t know what I’m doing. This is for the retail version

It’s fine.

There are some hiccups with the questing. It is possible fixes for a lot of them are going through today.

Your posting character issue might be related to one of the other threads.

The system temporarily “lost” your retail characters so it defaulted to your Classic one.

I believe that is known and should mostly be a display issue, Dugrax. It shouldn’t cause any issues questing. When you qualify to use the Scouting Map again, you should see options to click.

You aren’t. You are still working through Tiragarde Sound, you have the quest “A Grizzly End” sitting in your quest log.

You can see which quests are part of that zone in the comments section for “A Sound Plan”.

Oh. I thought that was just a side quest. Or is it? I don’t really want to do EVERY quest in the zone. I would just like to focus on main story stuff and do side quests where needed. But I’ll head back and finish that quest! Thanks

edit: again, wrong character… not sure why it changes on me. Oh well.

Hey Vrakthris, This is happening for me as well but my quest log only has “A Sound Defense” and “The Great Sea Scrolls” quests. I’m not sure what to do next, I’m working on trying to complete the “Ready for War” achievement.

Hello, kind Support Forum
So I have just gone back to accept parley news, and my map has the exclamation, yet there aren’t any locations to click on. My quest log has The Darkmoon Faire and The Great Sea Scrolls, please help me advance in the allied quest, I am only level 19 or so–is that why I can’t continue with the Kul Tiran quest line? I am lost.

And did you select a different time with Chromie to level in?

I assume this is on your Mage? From what I can see you started in Tiragarde Sound as your first zone. As I mentioned earlier in the thread you may need to complete more of the zone before being allowed to select a new one.

The last quest you did was Proudmoore’s Parley. I believe the next quest is “The Norwington Festival”. You can check the list in the comments here.
