There is a whole forum dedicated to this stuff.

If I have an agreement with Disney that I get payed in a certain way, and they break that agreement and I decide to go to court over that, does that make me a gold digger?

Coconut is evil.

She’s suing because of a simultaneous release in theater and streaming. Claiming that her take was impacted negatively. It might have been, but it’s a bit of a hard thing to prove when the world is locked down.

I’m honestly not sure who to side with on this one.

But, to be clear, your point was wrong. She was paid what ever she was owed, technically. She’s fighting for potential lost revenue due to breach of contract.

Her character is, yes. But I’m pretty sure Scarlett herself would rather keep herself out of jail. Not to mention, Hell.

Also, pretty sure her character wouldn’t kill them for that. More likely, she’d infiltrate their headquarters and try to find some kind of incriminating evidence to turn in to the authorities or something.

Take it from a priest hell doesn’t exist.

Good grief! She was the lead actor, her contract and therefore her pay arrangements wouldn’t be the same as co-stars and extras. She is claiming a breach of the agreed to contract, so whatever her “demands” were, Disney agreed to them beforehand to get her to work for them.

Fine, fine, fine. I will go read this nonsense.

I’m not sure why she wants to go this route… it is all speculation.

"It’s no secret that Disney is releasing films like “Black Widow” directly onto Disney+ to increase subscribers and thereby boost the company’s stock price — and that it’s hiding behind COVID-19 as a pretext to do so,” the actress’s attorney John Berlinski said

This is why she is upset.

Disney intentionally induced Marvel’s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel,” the legal documents stated.

Sounds like, she had 2 contracts, one with Disney and one with Marvel, and when Disney executed their rights to do whatever they wanted with the film, it invalidated her contract with Marvel… It might have something to do with the merchandise(toys, shirts, etc), or even her old Avenger contracts - guess we will find out soon enough.

it exists but no one is there

Wrong thread!
