That seems more like DH territory to me.
It’s easily priest. Don’t let them near children.
You know, whenever you have a society, and there’s evil cabals working from the inside to corrupt it and take it down? I guess that could also fit Warlock, though.
Slavery? Definitely warlocks.
Or religious fanaticism? Always priests, lol.
Also yeah, the bit about the mind control is true. “You’re going to hell unless you do X exactly as the holy book states.”
Religion is a manipulative tool.
Megachurches are scary af IRL.
Cult of the Damned, but real.
I’d also include Paladins as cops (“peacekeepers”, but not really, just enforcing their own arbitrary rules based on religion), and Warriors/Rogues (maybe surv/mm Hunters) as marines and military.
I see Beast Mastery hunters as either zookeepers, or rednecks sitting out on some backwater porch with two dogs and a shotgun. Hunters are generally solo players, after all lol.
I’d have to say priests or warlocks. Both classes wield/manipulate magical energies (void and fel) that are inherently unstable, unpredictable and hugely destructive.
History.
it’s absolutely scary just how monsterous humans are to other humans.
Rogue for sure, never see it coming.
Death Knight or Warlock. Nothing else comes close
So there’s a few things we know as fantasy gamers.
1 - A couple of crazy guys with a shotgun can drop even a gangrel vampire warrior hopped up on voodoo and blood magic.
2 - An automatic rifle > a necromancer’s army of undead monsters.
Magic is the great equalizer, of course, but think about it like this.
Lets say that I can spend 8 years of my life learning the principles of magic and magical spellcasting. Those last 4 years I double down on evocation and master the arts of throwing lightning bolts and fire.
I’m a veritable powerhouse of arcane power at this point, I can smoke someone with my eldritch might and maybe even pull off some crazy stuff like disintegration or a powerful blast of lightning that can drop anyone foolish enough to stand in a straight line.
ALL of that power… means nothing if someone can run down to the local Cabellas and by some rifles and ammo.
So the deadliest class in the game, beyond anything else, is the hunter.
Hunters: The only class smart enough to use guns.
Love them or hate them: Guns > Magic in most cases. Because it takes very little training and almost no cost to get a bunch of country yokels with a 6th grade education armed with equal power to an archmage.
Now this isn’t the reality I WANT to be true, but unfortunately it is. Guns are just that good.
Demon Hunters and Warlocks.
I mean, c’mon, demons.
I would say Warlock and Priest because they have actual Fear spells. They can literally make people lose their stuffing and run around in terror.
And that is without the Priests other Psychic abilities or the Warlocks demons. These 2 classes have fear as a skill.
There’s this guy on youtube named NileRed and he made a fireball thing. That’s pretty much what we got for the archmages of the world atm.
nah, warlock is scariest. if they kill you, they take your soul and burn it as fuel.
What about Frostmourne
Warlock, not even death will save you from me.
Not to mention a connection to the void that they could use to destroy your entire psyche. Or the fact they could literally burn you from the inside out with holy magic, mind control you to do their bidding, and so many other crazy things. Priests are REALLY scary if you look beyond them as healers.
go back and watch the original WoW trailer. your answer lies within.
This should be a psa … I am dead laughing love it.
Scariest class irl?
Probably organic chemistry.
It sorta melts your brain.
The irony of real world priests using “mind control”. The church has only been doing that for 2000 years already
If WoW’s warlocks ever get Eldritch Blast the game is over.
I’m gonna have to agree. I hated taking chemistry, it’s neat and interesting but lord did that class scare me.
