I did a check of health and TTK (time to kill) of a bunch of legacy bosses (both BFA and Legion) between today and monday, and so far I’m actually killing stuff faster in prepatch.

Actually, this first was observed in the BfA beta. There were lots of threads about it. When players asked “will I be able to farm old content as I have always done?” they were told by white knight trolls that yes, they will be able to farm old content as they always have done, on their main in full heroic raid gear. Which isn’t how anybody has farmed stuff.
Level 110’s were able to do mythic HFC during Legion. Level 120’s were not able to solo mythic Antorus in BfA.

I don’t know how you manage to kill things faster when everyone else is killing them slower. So unless they pushed a hotfix in the last 30 minutes im gonna call bull.

Somebody told us yesterday that his fresh level 50’s in quest gear were able to solo mythic antorus. Press 1 for doubt.

This sounds encouraging; however I do note that you are entirely current mythic raid geared, which is well above the average casual player. Soloing raid content from two expansions past should be easily decimated by someone in current content average gear. which is not happening.

Myself, I think changes to old content are not directly about restricting fun, but are about making old content less fun in an attempt to get people to change from farming old content to doing new content.
It’s all about beefing up those participation numbers.

Would be great if i could find where Ion said that he believes old content shouldn’t be zerged down. Just to add evidence to this being intentional.
Or to make it still challenging, and not faceroll, however, many want it to ba a faceroll.

they should of just left things the way they were all the not being able to solo stuff is just blizz disagreeing with how people used to love doing old content and they want you playing current crap to farm old content instead of what it was just straight blasting thru fun. it’s intentional they put no effort in at to fix and stay silent on it which tells me it’s intentional.

Maybe they’re doing this so that people (old content solo’er) would buy the expansion right off the bat and level to 70. Basically somewhat locking soloing behind an expansion.
Unless they fix this during pre-patch.

Its kinda sad that people whine about old content like this.
Deal with it. The raids were never meant for people to go in and solo them, neither were dungeons. They were meant to have 5 to 25 people get together to do them.
Just because you can’t solo it doesn’t mean its a problem. This is an entirely YOU created problem. Not the Devs.
Blizz is doing a great job.

What he said was that it’s not fun to zerg old content.
The new max level is 70. That might be taken into account at the moment, but after the expansion drops you may be able to do this content in leveling greens at 70.
I think even without proof it’s pretty obvious. They don’t need to adjust the raids but for some reason they do. If they leave it the way they are, we all can solo them at one point. But it has been six years now since Legion, something’s not right.

That’s when you’re supposed to fix things!!! These the type of folks who will tell an editor the book is only a draft so no point in fixing mistakes. Cause you know, all the errors will get fixed when the book is printed right?

well ya they was until ion took over there’s more expansions were you could solo anything than you can’t do it so evidently someone at blizz thought it was fine to solo old raids way longer than comes ion lol. that dude don’t do crap don’t understand what hallf the playerbase stayed subbed so long for guess what to solo old raids millions and millions of people were doing it fine til ion took over the rest of wow it was to solo old raids.
