Eh we noticed a substantial difference in both tank damage taken & tank healing required by switching from a Pally MT to a DK MT. Both are absolutely viable. Now we just have the pally sit and tank the Animus when it spawns. The boss is not a DPS race so it really doesn’t matter, either way you’re still going to hardstop DPS with or without two tanks. Also rets don’t oom on this fight because we get double mana return from our talent judgments of the wise. If we were 1 tanking we would parse better with a paladin solo tanking.
Oh really, the next best paladin tank took 7280 damage per second LUL.

The lowest damage per second I can find is like 5k for a paladin meanwhile the DK is at 3295 LUL.
Paladins are just weaker.
I’m only looking at good paladins not some budget wannabe like your logs. No one cares if you can equip full mitigation and reduce your damage per second. So can a DK. I’m comparing the top logs against the top logs.

Its as i thought. Trollfire searched for the highest dps pallys, and took a look at their dmg taken per second.

And the pally in this log is getting 32% hits into his face, which is more than enough proof that he obviously wears dps gear for parsing reasons.
Because you literally cant get that much unmitigated hits if you actually wear tankgear.

And they are all inferior to the top DK tank.
Speed runners use warriors because they are actually the best tanks when your raid isn’t full of noobs.

They also have good CDs and mobility. They are the better tank for good players.
Just like DK is better than pally for average players.
Pally is just best at the lowest end of the player skill range.
