Noticed how the realm choice doesn’t save like retail, and you have to select your server each time you log in. Is this something that can be added easily?
Can’t remember if it was in Vanilla, but to add such functionality to Classic is hardly a #nochanges issue.
Unless there’s already a way to do it, and I’m just blind…
You’re not imagining things. Your last played realm was saved in Vanilla. This is an intentional change to make people move servers. They want you to know every time you login that there are low and medium pop servers with no queue. That way there’s no question about whose fault it is if you have to wait 4+ hours to login.
Might have to do with the shared nature of resources. (Evidence of this is Realm names added when sending mail and Eastern Kingdoms on all Realms crashing at the same time Tuesday night.)
I think this may be a conscious decision to confront people with the possibility of refilling every time thy login. They get to see which realms may have no queue or less of a queue then their current server prior to seeing that queue position. Maybe seeing that enough motivates people to switch.
Bump, I hope Blizzard allows this feature in the future if/when all the queue times are reduced. As Drektar said, it’s not earth shattering but I, too, have always found it frustrating. I also tried the manual text entry in the config.wtf file but that had no effect.
