Yeeeah, before it was announced it felt dead outside of prime time. I was hoping for a server merge since the end of P1. A lot of people dropped off between P1 and P2.

Actually considering that myself. If the Chaos Bolt continues to show a significant decline because of this and it becomes unplayable⌠I really just think thatâs it for me and WoW at least for the time being.
Retail doesnât feel satisfying anymore and SoD was just so relaxing in our community.
I really truly will miss seeing the familiar faces the frenemies that were made.
So their solution to this was to give us xfers to a⌠PVE server? Seriously? Why canât we transfer off to just a regular PvP server? Thereâs next to zero RPing going on in either CS or CB so why not just let us transfer to another PvP server? I want to PvP. I do not want the toxicity of Crusader Strike and the culture that the designated sTrEaMeR server has given arise to.
Let me explain why people donât want to go to CS: When Crusader Strike was announced, every single pvp streamer targeted it as their server. So even if those streamers stopped playing, their fanbase, their gold farmers, the chinese bots, the gold advertisers, their massive mega corp guilds, this entire WoW sleezeball culture that churns off of the designation of a âstreamer serverâ, has remained. That toxic community thrives off of the high pop so that it doesnt have to remake bots, refarm gold, etc. It has STAYED on CS even if you do not SEE a streamer. Itâs evident in the LFG filled with gold spam, the bots running around rampant, etc. I wish folks would stop pretending why they havenât any idea why people donât want to go there.

Same tbh. People act like CS is this great place to be but being someone who had characters on both it was night and day difference of how the community acted and just the feel in general of peoples attitudes.

If you gave up on RP on an RPPvP server, that is your own doing.
Either way, not having a PvP option is a poor move on Blizzards part. Itâs as if Aggrend, in all his majesty, totally forgot about WHY Chaos Bolt came to be and now decided to make everyone go to CS or a non PvP option.
So they can at least give us a PvP option that isnât CS.
I agree that PvP options should be there as well in addition to the RP option. Wouldnât makes sense to offer one but not the other. All in all Iâd rather they had never done what they did. If the population was falling and the faction divide getting bigger, Iâm certain there was another option rather than merging one of the smallest populated servers into the largest.

The more we talk about it the more the move makes less and less sense. If it was a matter of faction disparity, CS has a bigger disparity than CB does. So weâre slapping two servers who have an Alliance disparity together and yet Lava Lash who has an egregious disparity has nothing done to it. (Not trying to drag LL into this just using it as an example)

I agree. Sure, there could be a decline in players, we only have 3rd party information after all. Instead of addressing what caused the decline, they did this. People in my guild did not really care for Phase 2 and had planned to return to Phase 3. My guild canât be the only one in that scenario.
I expect a boost of players at the start of Phase 3, surely they must have too? So why before the next phase did they make this move? Especially with no notice beforehand of their plan to do soâŚ
Silver lining though, weâre now a prestige server with no bots

There is no option that will make people who actually enjoyed chaos bolt happy. There is no other server that matches what chaos bolt had. Either we give up on the RP aspect or we give up on the pvp aspect. Chaos bolt was unique in the same way Grobb was and the same way ED was before it.
Make it right, save chaos bolt.
