What did you just say about me, you little hunter? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the classic Warcraft Logs, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Blackwing Lair, and I have over 300 confirmed kills.

- Warriors can use +Healing gear to solo 5 man dungeon bosses.
- Warriors can use +Healing gear to absolutely dominate in PvP.
- Warriors can use +Healing gear to farm out in the world much faster.
- Warriors can use +Healing gear in raids to virtually negate any raid damage they incur.
- Warrior tanks can use +Healing gear to help stabilize their health pools and generate more threat.
vs
- Hunters can use SGC for a small boost to their low DPS until they replace it with either tier chest from MC or BWL.
Healing gear is better for Warriors than SGC is for Hunters.

The game is 15 years old, has been and can be cleared with people not playing the top spec/class. Telling people they should always pass to the OP class is stupid and a product of min maxing thats not needed to complete the game. If its an upgrade and ultimately makes your toon better in the end you have a right to it as you participated in getting said piece to drop.
Just because blizz made your chosen class the OP class of the game doesnt mean you deserve all the loot and doesnt mean everyone should just roll your class because they should know better if they want the gear.
But yeah I forgot raiding is serious business boys and only the leet shall partake

I’m sorry but if it’s an upgrade for me and I’m in a pug, I’m not passing on an upgrade regardless of who is “better” for.
If I play with said warrior regularly sure, I might pass on it if he is going to be a dps main warrior. If he is a tank and dps is his off spec? I’m rolling on it.
But I’m not passing up an upgrade for a stranger, nor for someone’s off spec.
And the joke argument you made on warriors rolling for healing gear is the same as a hunter rolling for the item for his MAIN role of dps being comparable is a joke.
Here’s the checklist to use for if a hunter should pass on it.
Is it an upgrade?
Do I not regularly play with this warrior?
Is the warrior a tank>dps?
If the answer is yes to all 3 of those, in rolling on it. Because RNJesus hates me. My average roll is under 20 on any item that is an upgrade for me. And I already gave you the example of my luck on items for me actually dropping with the princess ring.

Its selfish to expect random strangers to pass on their BiS items in a pug to you simply because you rolled the flavor of the month top dps class. Random pugs arent your friends, they arent your guildmates, what do they get out of passing for you? Nothing.

Classic isn’t 15 years old. This isn’t retail. I know that’s not the core of your argument, but I wanted to point that out.
So? That doesn’t change the facts. Some classes/specs are just better than others. Some items benefit some classes/specs more than others.
Min/max isn’t necessarily a matter of need, and it isn’t just that Warrior is the best class… it’s that they’re the best class and they use the item for far longer.
Good to know. I’m a decent person, though, so I’ll be considerate of the people I play with, even if they’re PUGs. If they need an item that is better for them than it is for me, I’ll pass, because I’m not selfish and entitled.
I don’t expect anyone else to do the same, even if I think they should.
It’s selfish to say that you are equally deserving of an item that provides unequal benefit to different classes and specs that you gave unequal contribution towards obtaining.
And Warrior isn’t flavor of the month; it’s flavor of the entire game’s lifespan. Warrior doesn’t suddenly stop being DPS as the game progresses. They only get stronger.
This is exactly why we’re calling you selfish.
You don’t have to get anything out of it. Try being a decent person.
Are they people with brains? That’s really all it comes down to
