also holy crap, the amount of red flags here- plenty of orc rpers rp lore accurate- iād argue most DO.
the issue is what āmuh loreā is varies between clans and of course, cultural bleeds and influences as Orcs have interacted with other races.
overall, this is a perfect example of what NOT to advert. The amount of elitism down to, āyOu MuSt HaVe PiRoR cOmBaT eXpErIeNcEā is justā¦palpable. The Orc RP community is an amazing one, one I love a ton, but stuff like this is precisely why it has a bad name.
They asked for lore-adherent. The cosmic nonsense is the lore.

Where is the lore broken? Iāve been an orc fanatic since the original RTS games. I have read every bit of warcraft literature novels, the shortstories on the game site, in game stuff, wowpeida, etc. So iād really like to hear how we are breaking the lore.
My second in command posted this to help with the workload, looks like he posted it as a lvl 10 charcter on accident, why anyone is crying about that is beyond me.

How does that break lore? Are you even up on orcish lore? Doesnāt seem like it. Our ranking system is mostly based on horde military ranks but not exactly nor does it have to be exactly the same as the main Horde military to be lore abiding. The Vanguard is a SoG (Special operations Group) something like the Navy SEALs which itself has a slightly different ranking system from different branches of the US military. My second, Ripblade is spec op aussie military irl, he has a way of writing that has apparently ruffled the feathers of yourself and a couple of other posters here. The original post definitely needs some revision and correction but my god to see you all clutching your pearls is quite hilarious. The fresh meat rank is meant to be comical and it takes a mere IC interview to promote up from it. Which was not properly communicated here and i get that.
I have held a great reputation on Ravenholdt, Emerald Dream, and on Wyrmrest Accord for being an experienced lore-abiding roleplayer. I am one of the only old school all-orc gms remaining, especially on Wrymrest Accord. I was second in command of Ripgutās for years until i branched off early MoP to form the which was, for years, the largest all-orc guild on Emerald Dream and WrA, and during BfA I was gm of the . So this is not my first trip to the rodeo folks and i stand ready to debate anyone on the validity of our guild being lore abiding.
I do plan on making a revised version of the original post, Ripblade was eager to help me get stuff done and threw this up before bed. To see the mole hill of a few errors get turned into an entire mountain range speaks to the lack of real life experience some of you have and honestly i feel sorry for you.

Iām glad Ripblade served his country, I fail to see its relevance as green people in a video game are not equivalent to a live and operating military.
As far as ruffling feathers, weāve all kinda been just laughing at the absurdity of it. Itās a genuinely hilarious post, albeit a disappointing one and has provided a much needed laugh.
Regarding your reputation, Iām very glad you are long standing. Not sure really where that is relevant to everyone otherās critiques alongside mine, or where anyone asked but neat ig.

Just because your buddy is a veteran IRL or you are a veteran at GMing in RP does not mean:
- That makes you a good GM
- That means you cannot do any wrong and can only do right
No shame in stuff being wrong (Iāve rped for well over a decade now across numerous TTRPGs and within WoW combined, I STILL get stuff wrong on occasion) but this level of justā¦immediately baring your teeth and barking at anyone critiquing is just not necessary. I applaud anyone GMing as someone who GMs TTRPGs irl, but there are certain ways to go about it.
Coming from this as an IRL GM, the amount of WoW forum elitism that exists is just wild to me. Itās a game. Not everyoneās gonna have a sparkly TRP, or even much of a TRP. Not everyone is going to know the lore down to how many hairs Saurfang had on his head. People make mistakes, people arenāt perfect. Sooner you realize that, sooner you make a better experience for your players.
Knowing the attitude youāve shown, you arenāt really gonna take that advice to heart. You are stubborn and adamant, and more power to you- but seeing as there isnāt gonna be a healthy discussion, itās just not reallyā¦enjoyable to do this further. Iāma go do stuff that I enjoy.

I cant help but to chuckle at this because youāre trying so hard to discredit us when you really have no idea how we implement the Overlord title. The funniest part is that you are also utterly wrong concerning Garrosh and Saurfang.
Overlords are often appointed to lead special operation groups, such as the Warsong Offensive. Which by the way was lead by Garrosh with Varok being his second in command. Which is something you can easily look up by doing the most surface level research. You can even google it if you like, āWho lead the Warsong Offensiveā
Not to mention you called Varok Saurfang the High Warlord which nearly made me spit out my coffee in laughter. Heās the High Overlord genius lol.
I think Iād make a pretty good Overlord.
I know a bit about management, people skills, that sort of thing.
