I now finally have enough of these things to buy something— and they’re irrelevant to me already.
Can we please make these BoA so that there’s a use other than collecting dust in my bank? Thanks!

Edit - yes I know they can be used for tier now - they couldn’t when this thread was made though.
they still would be useless - the items costs too much - reduce the price to 1/4 and then there is some players who would farm them -or increase the ilvl to 265 which is what some ppl in my guild thought they were (when they farmed for them).
Fair enough. But at least my alt could get one piece of 246 over his green 226s they originally gave me.
I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday. I went to the vendor and saw both the ilevel and prices and thought “This is already useless for me, and will be for any alt who is doing this enough to actually get relics.”
If they made them account wide, that would at least solve the mostly useless ilevel of the gear, as you could get them before you obtained enough cyphers to get ilevel 252 gear dropping.
I just reached 100 of them. If it was supposed to mimic the Covenant armor vendor they missed that mark by like 2,000 light years.
I was regularly getting upgrades for the Covenant armor and the transmogrifications by this point when shadowlands launched.
BoA and increase stack size to 5000 or something please.
Let them be a better catchup mechanic than the 226 items for our alts. Then at least they’d have a purpose lol.
i dont understand why blizz does this with gear thats meant as catchup, your average player can gear up on their own faster than farming these currencies
You have to wonder what is going on over at Blizz. Why are these things even a currency when they are useless?
Blizz is worried that someone is going to farm 5000 of these in 1hour somehow.
There is other content that awards gear. If you want it, go do it.
I can’t imagine the decision making process of the team that was in charge of implementing this currency.
Did anyone, developer, scrum master, qa tester…like anyone on the team talk to design team and mentioned “hey guys, just a silly thought but…this loot is worthless by the time you amass enough currency to use it, can we put our time to better use or re-evaluate the design of this?”
It’s sadly yet another example of the lack of care and feeding of the game.
Blizz: Heres a system to get some gear.
Also blizz: we will put the most common way of getting this currency in an area with 1000 elites, where if you do not already have this gear, you will die immediately! BRILLIANT!"
The anima gear is already BoA.
Just do all Firims Cypher Console Upgrades for PocoPoc 6/6 drops 352
I got to there before I could buy any Sanworm gear its now T Mog only Flying helps a Ton for the chests that were just out of reach for all but Warrior and Warlock.
Irrelevant to the topic, but thanks for stating the obvious.
And we’re not talking about anima gear?
Sounds like you should be able to throw it onto the AH. Idk why every currency they throw into the game is BoP now.
It is. If you don’t like the system you’re trying to utilize, there are alternatives. You can’t just have gear handed to you, I hear. So, there are ways to get that ilvl of gear with alts without doing it, you just have to do the other content.
Either that, or you should start doing it on your alts so they can earn the gear.
Yes, and one alternative is to make a gearing system actually worthwhile, instead of Sandworn Relics being a complete and utter waste of time.
Literally no one asked for this.
Are you dumb? We aren’t complaining about the gear. We are complaining the system is 100% useless thus being a waste of time and shocked blizzard didn’t test this.
And there are other systems. So if you don’t like this, do those.
