Sandworn Relics should be account bound

Yeah there’s other catchup mechanics that aren’t good enough too, but you seem to love those since they don’t affect you. There are other systems to gear, go do those.

Ah, so you’re just making crap up to fit your bad narrative and troll. Got it.

Moving on.

IDK, am I? So you do or don’t think creation catalyst should be out yet?

Even with all the changes they’ve made, Sandworn Relics and the gear they give still serve absolutely no purpose. Blizzard could literally remove it from the game tomorrow, and almost nobody would notice.

Like, I’m curious as to the design philosophy behind this gear. What is the point? I have casual alts that are already earning 242 cypher gear, and not a single one of them have enough relics to buy even a single piece of Sandworn Relic gear.

It’s a part of the game that’s so thoroughly pointless, it’s just baffling why it even exists.

Agreed and half the cost.

By the time you max out your cypher gear, you will be able to buy two pieces of sandworn relic gear, meanwhile you are already wearing mostly 252 gear from the max cypher equipment, I have 2 days played on my demon hunter and the same thing has occurred as my rogue.

This system is a failure.

Pretty much. That’s the sad part.

Apparently, this was the only gearing system casuals had in ZM until the very end of PTR when they stuck in the other gear. So they just forgot about it and didn’t do anything with it.

Just wanted to check in. You think it’s not good enough, right?

Am I misremembering or did they lower the cost once already? I honestly can’t remember. I know they increased the amount of relics we get, but I think they also decreased how much the gear costs. Still not enough, but if I could send them to alts, at least they could acquire one piece for the effort my main put into getting them.

I really hope someone at Blizzard actually plays the outdoor content of ZM for like a day or two and notices the Sandworn relic gear issue.
The time to get the currency to buy the gear, even with the buff, makes it all but obsolete when you can get it. With both the currency and gear being BoP it doesn’t function as a catch up for alts either because they have to grind for so long to get the relics that it becomes obsolete for that alt.

It’s clearly something they completely overlooked in their hurry to get the patch out.
As it currently stands, the relics just take up bag space.
If the relics are BoP, why the heck isn’t it a currency?
This entire expansion feels like people locked in different parts of the building were making things and then some mad scientist was frankensteining them together but didn’t bother to see if they all worked together.

Make them a currency in the currency tab, and make the things you buy BoA, like it should have been from the start.

EVERY currency in the game should be account bound, both because you earned it, and because alt’s should be far more accessible than they already are.

Having to do the “storyline” on each and every character even with a 3 chapter skip is ludicrous. as is virtually every other barrier in the game to playing alts in a fun manner.

Your main runs around gathering 10,000 cosmic flux they don’t need after 2 leggo’s but you can’t use it until far after it’s pointless.

Everything about this game is so anti alt and anti fun. I’m waiting for 10.0 announcement and if it doesn’t include a vast majority of the changes I want to see like account bound things and way more accessible alt play I think I’m finally just done.

Useless items with a pointless currency. I like this patch in general but this is one of those, "what the heck were they thinking about?"moments.

The way the Sandworn gear is set up now - the cost and being BoP - would make sense if it was a super spiffy transmog set. But it’s not - it’s just a recolor. Unless it’s your favorite color, it just seems pointless.

And why do they only stack to 250? Several of the pieces cost more than that. You want to buy the set? Guess what, it’s going to take up EXTRA bag space. Of course, I’m of the opinion that all BoP currencies should go straight to your Currency tab and not take up precious space in your bag.

If we can’t send them to our Alts (BoA). Please allow us to upgrade the ilvl or add some nice tmog appearances or something. These are totally useless as is.

You can use them in the creation catalyst to get the LFR recolor of tier, at least.

I gave in and just bought the full set on Maizou last week cause I figured they won’t be made BoA.

Though knowing that I just did that, I expect them to become BoA.

I think the point is that once we finish that, it would be cool to use them to upgrade the LFR 246 pieces we make to one rank up to 252.

I have around 1000 of them in my backpack taking up space. These things are worthless.

Blizzard should have made them a currency that sits on the currency tab. Also, can these be spent on anything other than 246 gear? Should I just delete them?

As of right now, no. That may change. I’d rather them be made BoA than a currency. That way, I can bank them on an alt and send them around.

I agree with your suggestion - only seems logical. Would be nice to get a headstart on tier pieces on an alt too.
