Indeed, it’ll be here before we know it. I suppose right now is a good time to make predictions on where the expansion will go next.
- I don’t believe a lick of that ‘leak’. They guessed two things supposedly right that would be incredibly easy to guess right. So I doubt we’ll get much to do with it.
- As much as I really want housing, actual customizable housing, I doubt we’ll get it. Still–they have a HUGE CHANCE right now to actually get people to come back from FFXIV if they did instanced housing right since housing is so limited in that game, and many are upset about the new patch offering housing to FCs (guilds) more. That said… unfortunately, I have doubts it will come back to WoW.
- I’m predicting (and hoping for) drake remodels.
- Story-wise, I think there will indeed be a return to Northrend of some sort. Reason being the implications in 9.2.5.
- Allied Races/Customization? Who knows. Could be anything under the sun at this point. Hopefully they listened to the community. Hopefully it’s something to do with Azeroth races people have been asking years for.
- Most likely will be visiting Dragon Isles or something.
- I predict a NEW dragonflight. Or possibly even more than one.
- Borrowed systems - despite the fact that the community is very vocally against them, they probably will throw another one in. Unfortunately.
As for San’layn and/or Dark Rangers, I don’t know. Dark Rangers have more of a chance to be playable by far than San’layn right now, I feel. I’m happy for them indeed. I hope we eventually get some good non-villain-bat lore sometime though too.

At this point, multiple specs would need complete overhauls because they have been designed and balanced around BP. I’m imagining my frost mage during the pre patch without icy propulsion 
Fingers crossed 9.2.5 stuff doesn’t give me hope tho

I agree, it’s so frustrating. I really hope they fix things going forward. Plus it SUCKS to lose the powers. They should just add it to the talent system.
Yeah same here. I’m hoping the lead in to Northrend at least leads to more nuance.

There’s pro-high elf folks there too, and it’s really a place where we hang out and chat, share our thoughts, etc. Very relaxed and awesome. Despite how some malicious parties try to paint it, my personal experience has been very positive. They’ve helped get me through some rough anxiety attacks.
THAT ASIDE though, it’s a neat community I figured I’d extend the invite for since you’re a really neat poster! No worries if not, but wanted to ask.

Garrison Outpost Abilities where the best Borrowed Power system. Change my mind.
Speaking of Garrisons…
The sad thing is 90% of the tech is there because of garrisons and it has a chance to become one of if not the best evergreen system in the game.
And it would allow for far more use of assets created for each expac as well as we collect them for furniture/trophies.
So I see it as a total waste not to have some form of it.
This is my feeling as well.
The things that make them stand out more and made them more likely to be an Allied Race are kinda working against them as a customization.
It’s not total negation, but it does push one ahead more than the other.
Though the ‘revelation’ that Darkfallen is a catch-all for Undead Elves gives me hope we can see both or some sort of Grab-Bag of Undead Elves as Customizations or as an Allied Race that includes everything people want like San’layn/Dark Rangers/Banshees/Zomb-Elves.
Not getting my hopes up, but I’m not denying them either.

Yeah I agree. It would have been nice if they expanded it, it could have eventually turned into real housing… Like you could place trophies and such so there was MINIMAL customization. If only they let us place objects etc. and had a REAL HOUSE on it. And… you know, location choice & architecture.
Yeah, as long as they respect the lore for all of those. Like a racial similar to how Zandalari work would be okay. San’layn customization doesn’t have to be extremely variant (bat like ears, fangs, claws, red eyes, jet black eyes) but it’d be nice if there was some flavor.
A plus to it though is that having a large variety of customization all on one AR leads to a lot of flavor so there is that.

Being able to blast a space antelope who just headbutted you off a cliff with cannon fire is oddly satisfying.
But really, they where zone specific, they where thematic, they where customizable in some areas, and they did not change up my class/specs.
What’s not to like?
Add a choice of Location/Building Type/Furnishings/Interior & Exterior Decorations.
Add a bunch of things to existing Raids/Reputations/Professions. (Hello! Archaeology?!)
Integrate Collections of Toys/Mounts/Pets in some fashion.
BAM! Amazing feature.

Demonic Consumption is pretty much the same as Thal’kiel’s Consumption just instead of doing direct damage it buffs your eredar
