You’re right, it is peculiar. They wouldn’t just do that for a single questline or to add Wintergrasp back. While you could be right about them just fixing the maps, I hope it’s more. Maybe San’layn related, Forsaken heritage armor related, or they could be doing it for the next expac (I hope it centers on undeath, the shadowlands, and the void.)

Maybe a new scenario with our Sanlayn allies? The horde side isnt really much acquainted? Would be cool if Slyvanas sends us on missions with them if we chose her over Saurfang.

I’ve already chosen her over Saurfang. Something about him really really annoys me besides him being a traitor (imo.) So if that’s the case then I’ll be going on those missions.

Im waiting to see what blizzard has in store for that plot. Slyvanas brought the sanlayn in I hope she introduces them and darkfallen as allied races or extended customization options to sindorei.

Theres one for Half Ogres and Broken as well, same page i found them reused the forsaken skeleton with a human model as a Alterac Human was pretty neat.

Am I remembering wrong or did Blizzard say that there were still more allied races to come after Zandalari Trolls and Kul’tirans? Some person is trying to say that Blizzard said they were done with AR for this expack.

No AR until 8.2, that person is wrong. I don’t have a source but I know it was said sometime around blizzcon.

Well we found out a whole lot of nothing today. I suppose the fact that they bring up historians and needing to know the details helps us I guess. You know with the whole Atherann and Theraldis thing. Can’t say I’m not dissapointed though.

Well, I guess the only thing we can hope for is some news in the new patches. The Quill might mean something and might mean nothing. We do know we’re going back to Northrend, and it’s getting some work done on it. How much this work matters for us, I’m not sure. AR news has been dry for months now sadly, including Blizzcon. I wonder how they’re going to announce new ones.

I hope so too. It seems like Quill information is coming out now, and I won’t lie and say I won’t be disappointed if there’s no San’layn or mention of them in that quest. I just find it so weird though if they design this new art piece without further things in mind. I feel like they might be possibly seeing the reaction of the community to the art for… I dunno. A gauge as to what to do in the future in relation to San’layn-themed art.

Essentially the model itself being thematically San’layn which could mean something since they have their eyes on the theme, but also could mean nothing. They’re making art right now that does have this theme which is why they might work on stuff for the future, but I’m not entirely sure of course, it’s just speculation.
