To be fair, Castlevania is giving vampires a good name at the moment. Twilight ruined everything and is one of the worst series out there. But things like Castlevania are at least showing the brutality we actually want to see in terms of an undead and dangerous race. They’re also very brutal in WoW.
sorry, all i hear is “zug zug me eat rocks” wood chopping sounds
i’ll say to you what i said to the last person who decided that since we wanted a race of vampires that we were all Twilight fans
i wish the trolls could at least get a new argument, we keep hearing the same things over and over again and it just basically comes down to “i don’t want a pointy eared humanoid race anymore so they shouldn’t be added”
San’layn wouldn’t need a huge change with the DK starting zone just add some new lines to the blood elf saying something like (is this what happened to you after you went off to Northrend?) and that’s really it.
I don’t need a race for shrek fans either, but you guys are into that so what’s the harm?
True, I agree. I feel like any Northrend races they might add wouldn’t need any sort of modification to the starting zone. They could also just make it so that the DKs cannot earn heritage armor to fix that issue too.
Only if they could use them if you make another san’layn and level it to 110.
I actually hope this happens. I would like to see vampire versus silver covenant.
Dropping by to give my support for the San’layn Initiative! GO GO BLOOD MAGIC
I’m rooting for vampires vs. werewolves.
I’ve already got my side picked out.
Thanks guys for the support as always, you rock! Yeah the San’layn versus worgen would be sweet, and if San’layn come after BfA along with/before or after High Elves (if either ever get added in), they’d be interesting to battle each other for sure.
I want to see the jokes for San’layn, perhaps a jab at worgen. I know it’s zombies (Forsaken) versus werewolves right now, but thematically it’d be cool if there was a clash or rivalry. Granted they might not go on an obvious path due to things being slightly cliche, but who knows. There’s a lot of good jazz that can be done with it.
Since our Anima Golems seem to be powered by Blood Magic it would be nice to get some forces with real powerful Blood Magic.
Well the thing is, there’s blood elves using blood magic in Nazmir, according to an imgur album I someone found (they shared it to the San’layn discord, here is the album in question: https://imgur.com/a/pvki3TQ
This is not mine, though, so keep that in mind! But yeah, so Blood Elves haven’t done that for many many years. Could that mean someone is helping reteach them or specalize it? Hmmm…
This is interesting. Are those guys alliance quest targets or something? I don’t remember seeing any of that as horde.
Congratulations on your Mega Thread
A secret for you. You can swap to an Alt and like your own post again.
Thanks ^^ And yeah I find that bit interesting, though I feel like it’s something that might get someone in trouble, not sure. I don’t want to risk it just in case.
Actually most of us here hate twilight especially since it ruined how modern people perceived vampires, you, yourself being an example. No offense to anyone who actually enjoyed the book/movies, but the books were poorly written trash that tarnished vampires’ reputation by effectively neutering them. Still angry about the “sparkles in the sunshine” thing.
If anything san’layn wouldn’t appeal to Twilight fans because they are the opposite of what they desire in a “vampire” (you can’t expect me to believe Edward was a real vampire) they’re actual vampires that would rip out your throat and drink wantonly from the wound rather than lust for you (and stalk you/watch you sleep). San’layn have none of that fairy bologna. They are undead monsters hiding under the guise of sophistication and vanity.
Finally, if you paid any attention at all to the lore behind the San’layn and first post by Fallyn, you’d know that San’layn share no qualities with Twilight “vampires.” I’d also like to remind you that the vampire mythos existed long be Stephanie Meyers took a dump on it.
I think some people mix the two because they are elves.
I’m not sure whether they should be a allied race or not. I would certainly love it, but I know it would infuriate all the anti-elf folk. Then again, maybe that’s all the more reason to do it. lol.
Anyway, at the very least it would be nice to have San’layn or dark ranger customization options for blood elves.
