Welcome back! And nope no extensions needed, none at all, which is really nice I think.
@Autai (I am sorry, I don’t know how to reply to multiple people, and the mention thing isn’t working right now I think D:) But yeah that’s a neat idea, some have also suggested a bat-beast, so San’layn would be a shapeshifter like worgen (drust? Power of a loa like Hi’reek should be he brought back? Who knows) on Hordeside, which I fancy myself because it sounds neat. Lore either way would be lovely to see, I hope we get to figure out the origin of the blood curse soon. I know it’s with the Vry’kul, but I think that’s all we know, and there’s many ways they could go with it.
Hey Fal. To respond to multiple people in the same post, just highlight the text that you want to respond to. An option will pop up to quote them. It works exactly the same way as the old quote boxes did. I believe both users will be notified that you’ve done this.
Never was confirmed that the Alliance killed all of them, I quoted what was in the first post. In fact, there’s still 3 remaining Hordeside after most of the Alliance had fled and Nathanos said the mission was complete. I know alliance want their ‘victory’ in this case, but it was hardly a big one. We’ve seen princes resurrected before, and Dreven had to have come from somewhere.
We also dont know how many san’layn are currently living. But they did mention they were growing their ranks again. So you cant really say alliance killed them all without actually having evidence that they are all dead.
so lets say Dreven (and the ones that died on the ship with him) are gone for good and aren’t conveniently revived thanks to the Blood Orb, that still leaves us with 2 missing blood princes from Wrath of the Lich King and however many people they turned in order to grow their ranks. for all we know they could have created 3 princes to bring our number back up to 5, and maybe even created a new Queen and Princess (my hope is for bringing Lana’thel back rather than some new Queen).
fact of the matter is, until blizzard straight up says that all San’layn are dead (or outright deny them being an AR) then there is hope
Also not to sure if this is correct but wasnt he just an ambassador? So he most likely wasnt even the leader just some higher up they sent to negotiate with the horde.
If we get san’layn, I can’t imagine it will be during BFA. All of the current allied races are already prominent in the game, and require a faction grind to unlock. The san’layn in BFA don’t have an associated faction, in fact they aren’t even seen by horde players, unless you fly over to some random boat. They don’t have new appearances; Dreven has the exact same night elf model/face/hair as all of the blood princes in wotlk, and all of the minor ones on the boat are still just recolored blood elves; no new haircuts or anything that would imply blizz allocated any effort to them.
I hope I’m wrong, but it seems incredibly unlikely that they would add an entire san’layn faction, update their models, etc and implement them as an allied race during 8.2 or 8.3, considering they aren’t remotely relevant at the moment.
And that tells me you didn’t read anything, nor do you know anything on the subject matter. If you have something remotely useful to contribute, do so, otherwise don’t bother commenting here with that trolling. Why is it always orcs that do this, I wonder?
No news might not be a bad thing, though. San’layn are on the dev’s mind with Lana’thel’s quill, and they could be very tight-lipped right now. Besides, if we don’t get them in BfA, that’s alright, at least we tried and can possibly see them in the future. But I wouldn’t rule out BfA just yet, there could be a lot of fragments of lore that will come out later.
