Fully on board. He’d make an AMAZING Blood King voice or one for the male playable characters. I’m not sure which idea I favor more to be honest. But if Blizzard expands lore and we find another Blood King or Queen, and it turns out to be a Queen, we totally need him for player character lines. Heck he should even make a Hellsing reference if so, in one of the jokes.

I would love to see San’Layn as a Allied Race of maybe even a class

There’s a lot of neat stuff like this all throughout that dungeon!

Oooo, and yeah, that’s probably my favourite dungeon from BfA.

Kinda seems like Blizz is setting up the San’Layn as the next Allied Race

I think our community got really excited when that was spotted. It was one of the many hopeful clues we clung onto when it seemed like we had a higher chance of seeing more San’layn content. That never came to be, but we do love the painting.

It’s actually an emote in our discord :stuck_out_tongue:

It made me hope there would be some Vampire Content in Drustvar but It was all witches.

Yeah, man I wish. I do like the witches theme, though. We have playable werewolves but no vampires. We kinda have playable witches too, if you consider warlocks to be in a similar enough vein, or shadow priests. Though those are classes.

A vampire class has been discussed here and as I mentioned, would be pretty neat. It’d have to be like Death Knights though in that they’d get an appearance morph. Which might be way more work than Blizzard intends on doing, but who knows. Even a bit of lore expanding would satisfy me for a bit, but there’s been nothing whatsoever.

Man I was sincerely hoping the Quill would lead to something .-.

Granted we also got no playable Spirits, Reptiles, Drakonids (though that Titanguard class idea can work that in like how we got Demon Elves via DHs), Aquatics of many various subtypes (too many to list) as well as Avians and Elemental style ones.

Dem Vampires just got a headstart on a combo waiting to happen xP

Maybe it quill

If San’layn Druids were a thing, I think that their flight form should be akin to the Vampires you seen in the Van Helsing movie, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.

There is so much they could do with druid forms if the art department really wanted to. I still maintain that the furbolg form you could have gotten from the Guardian Mage Tower challenge is an absolute masterpiece. Imagine if something like that was reskinned to look more like a version of the Undercity Plaguebat mount? And that’s just one possible reference. The main point is that wacky transformation options are totally possible if a little elbow grease is put in.

I’m down for them. Let people have races not like they mean much, on the other hand let’s talk about the classic talent tree and bringing that back

Yup they may also look at resident evil for inspirations to undead/sanlayn druids <3

What I do like about the San’layn as an allied race is that they have as much reason as VE and LFD to look aesthetically different; while they kinda lazied it with Lana’thel jut looking like a recolored Belf, the Princes do have a rather unique model: we see how their ears changed to something perhaps more bat like, and overall their whole build looks somewhat different (even tho they are based of the NE model, much like the speelbreakers were, their build was unique) more wiry and taut than a BE, which fits with them being corpses.

So the males at least already have a unique look to them, and overall that’s a lot ahead of from other popular AR requests.

Exactly. That alone shows that the blood curse is a mutagen, and since we really don’t have elaborate lore on that yet, it can go into any direction. I mean, Zandalari trolls had the regular troll models for the longest time until they became an actual Allied Race. Then there’s the Dark Iron Dwarves, which were made quite a bit fancier as well.

Blizzard can go many directions with the San’layn, and take many examples from pop culture like Castlevania on Netflix, for example. Or as people have discussed, giant bat forms for druids or racial mounts. The bat-like ears thing can totally be expanded; I think an ears option for San’layn would be super neat.

Maybe they are death elves in the same sort of way we got Void Elves? They are distinct from dark fallen/dark rangers.
