Thanks so much! We would too, also awesome shades :P I keep forgetting to equip my sunglasses when I log off. Isn't a shame that we can't transmog them?! Drives me nuts!

Learn engineering and you can use the next-best thing.
Also, die vampire.
Gotta remember to always threaten the vampires.
Okay so as a little bit of an aside, I was wondering if I could race change my belf Hunter to a Nightborne for the "Dark Ranger" vibe. Cause let's be real, the Purple sylvanas ranger armor for Nighthold just doesn't look good on BE models at all.
But it looks amazing on Nightborne! So maybe a couple pigmy oils would help, and then I realized: A nightborne with that armor would look amazing as a Kaldorei Dark Ranger. It's all about that Red Eye hood tbh, but it looks so well!
So maybe I won't go through with that race change for my DR, but there is something there for the notion of playing Nightborne as risen Kaldorei! specially with cowls that give you red/orange eyes.

Wouldn't a Undead Night Elf be a Dark Sentinel?
10/16/2018 07:24 AMPosted by FallynnOk you all have very fair and good points :) made me smile. I did find out though that several blood Prince doodads have indeed been tweaked for 8.1 though. So I'm not entirely correct in saying that everything is lost(it hasn't been to begin with).
Age of Mythology voice: "All is NOT lost..."
In all seriousness there still indeed might be something coming up...
That's the spirit! Never give up hope in what you find passion in! And never say never with Blizzard!
Grab a hold of what you can and keep the faith and passion alive, haha!

We still have the Night Elves being raised as Dark Rangers, so maybe there could be some sort of Undead Elf AR on it's way comprised of different types of Elven Undead including San'layn. Perhaps Sylvanas is putting together an elite Undead Elven force and each of the Undead Elves are making appearances for this reason.
Maybe, maybe not, but I'd like to think so.

That's true, and you did make me smile there ^^ Yeah we won't be giving up anytime soon. We got bamboozled but our speculations are still there, there's two missing blood princes still, and oddly enough those San'layn neophytes were left there alive. Those are the 100% facts of the matter.
"Speculation" is also that the San'layn forces would not be silly enough to have every single last one of them on those ships, because otherwise that'd not be pragmatic at all.

All you need is 1 vampire to make more vampires!
Also there has to be literally tons of undead High Elves outhere for potential recruits.

Very true there! Yeah and we clearly know that new ones are being made due to the neophytes. I wonder what we'll see even further down the line. It would be cool if we got some San'layn news on Halloween, but I'm not counting on it of course.

I'll spend all my money on the San'layn AR. They're my favorite race since I started to play WoW. Always dreaming in play as one of them.

People keep linking San'layn to High Elves, however this is incorrect. They are their own thing with their own history now. Just as forsaken are extremely different from humans. As I've explained numerous times, San'layn would bring the vampyr theme that is nowhere else in the game as playable--no, Blood Death Knights do not depend on blood, and the energy of other creatures does not empower them. It merely heals them. No, Void Elves are not even close to San'layn. And no, High Elves are not linked to San'layn just as humans are not linked to forsaken as a bar.

I agree! The only problem with adding San'layn is the amount of money I will need to spend on race changes, argh!

We were talking a bit more about the racial mounts and such for San'layn, and what would be cool--a partially zombified horse could work out actually. It would be similar to the Forsaken, which would be pretty appropriate if Forsaken are the golden link to bringing San'layn into the Horde. They were for Blood Elves, so... why not?

I think people just like to make the thematic comparison between HE and San'layn of being Elves, so they seem like a good counterpoint. Like I would say that Mok'nathal and Half Elves would make a good thematic pair.
There's also the bit againts of being "yet another type of elf!" so there's that.
As for racial mounts go, It has to be some sort of bat! Or bloody gargoyle ohhh that would be cool.

Maybe elf against elf violence would do wonders for PvP.
I'm still crossing my fingers for Redeemed (or whatever the heck they're going to call the light-forged undead you know are coming with the Calia name-drop in 8.1) / San'layn undead allied race variety pack.

It does have to be some sort of bat. I agree 100%... but the major gigantic glaring problem is... flying. Argh! None of the racial mounts can fly!
...But come on. How cool.. how cool... would it be if they could have a racial ability rather than mount where they turn into a cloud of bats?!
Well at least now I know that the High Elf allied race mental illness isn't Exclusively on the Alliance.
