Holy, something I can agree with. Also faction pride really hasn’t been a thing since cata. In wod everyone was alliance and now everyone’s horde. People swap willy nilly or play both factions without any care.
Yeah I think it’s just gear personally. Neither faction talks too much if things go smoothly. Horde just has more geared people because it’s easier to yolo to higher ratings. Also part of undergeared horde is funneled into alliance via mercing due to short queues, so alliance gets less geared characters overall.
Even just capping conquest from randoms I feel is so much easier on horde. I generally play one EBG per day and sometimes I win once a week on alliance. Horde probably wins 80% of time on the first time, so it’s much easier to do daily wins. Maybe less so in regular BGs, but still.

I actually do have faction pride. I’ve never swapped.
I really don’t agree with any of this. I haven’t qued a bg in a couple weeks but the month prior to that I qued regular BG’s on my human priest and two games on my orc DK. 20 games, alliance won 19. Lol my human priest at one point had 200ilvl with no leggo so I wasn’t carrying by any means. Lost both my orc DK games too.
As for epics, they’ve always been a super one sided thing. It’s why I had them black listed in wod. Tbc-wod I had 80% win rate in them on my priest. Now horde wins them 80%. I don’t know why but they just never have an even win rate.
I do most of my capping in arenas. It’s so weird that tbc-wod BG’s were a great place to get basic decent gear. Now it’s almost a waste outside of upgrading your gear. What a dumb system.
Ya I kinda suspected that. Didn’t mean you personally, just in general. Like que times for alliance in wod introducing Merc mode. Now everyone’s horde. Most people swap willy nilly no jacks given. I used to have some faction pride (horde side). Then the start of BFA tilted me and I wanted to help faction balance on my server so I swapped alliance. Don’t really feel anything for horde now.
You’d be surprised. As someone who queues epics the vast majority of his pvp playtime, I can assure you that they are fairly balanced as far as factions go.
This guy being my main, my most skilled and geared toon has hundreds of games. Well over 60% win rate in regs and 40% in epics. My human priest, who I’m worse at and is always a step behind in gear, had a 50% win rate in regs but 80% in epics?!??!!?
I dunno man… I’d be extremely suprised if they’re different now. The few people I knew that played them occasionally didn’t think so.
Interesting, I’ll try playing regular bgs for a few days and see what the win percentage is on ally side for me. My reflex stats for epics look exactly like that.
