The only point you’ve made is that you’re literally the person Faminex was describing earlier:
Case and point:
Nothing of substance was offered in your response in the first part of your statement. As for the statement that the season 1 set offers variety I’m going to burst your bubble: Elementalist would still be comically ahead of Storm regardless of the tier set chosen, regardless of raid fight type or M+ because of the talent changes that have happened across the expansion. The Season 1 or 2 tier bonuses do not save Storm and benefit Elementlist build substantially better so you’re wrong about that too. The only difference would be not being able to use Pwave every 25 seconds. And before you say something about the season 3 set making Storm unplayable I need you to look at this image:
I feel like Pwave fits the lightning theme since its shooting out multiple bolts of lightning. Though I’m a person that doesn’t care too much about the theme.
answered with a meme… whatever bro, not losing my time with u: “my way of playing must be the only one”. These competitive players are definitely the worst part that happened to the game
I love the shaman lore and themes but you’re right we could be firing raw onions from our fingertips, if it isn’t mechanically sound I’m not vibing with it
Elementalist was better gameplay even before the s3 set and with msw gen issues, what are you even talking about
my guy, again, what? lmao
This is pretty much it, although someone actually had some decent starter suggestions above for potentially fixing this (rare).
So long as SS modifiers are as heavy as they are, coupled with SS being the only activation method for DRE and eliminating prio for literally every other button and resource in the kit, storm is just stuck in purgatory.
Terrible hero talents coupled with the lack of a dev currently (rip us and hunters who had the same dev) are giving us quite a dark forecast for TWW though, unfortunately.
I mean you don’t need to play the same way I do, but when you have an extreme misunderstanding of how a spec works how can you offer any meaningful feedback for changes for the spec? Do you ask a student who has D in math to look over your math homework? No, you’d probably get a D too.
I think what you might be missing is that skill or content level doesn’t matter for feedback relating to how fun an ability is. I also think you are off base by saying that if someone doesn’t like P-wave, it’s only because they don’t understand how it works. This game isn’t complicated, and P-wave isn’t hard to understand. A lot of players just don’t find it to be a fun button to press.
You’re correct, but stating how “fun” ability is not as substantial feedback as people think if your only feedback is “it’s not fun”. And it becomes irrelevant if there is a misunderstanding on how the spec works.
People are also going to view abilities in different ways based on the content they do. For example, I like that P-wave doesn’t just launch Lightning Bolt immediately when you press it while you wish it did. Both are valid feedback that is derived from different gameplay experiences and engagement. There a lot of people who are also wanting changes made with Pvp in mind and others only focus on PvE which will impact feedback.
Meanwhile statements like this:
Is just mindless noise.
That is not my sole reasoning. It’s more so that not understanding nuances of the ability leads to frustration and forms the majority of their opinions. I originally hated it while learning it until I started to get used to it and learn how to play around it. Now I find it to be an enjoyable ability despite believing that there are substantial changes to the build overall that could be made to make it more fun (MAKE LAVA LASH SPREAD FLAMESHOCK TO 5 NEARBY TARGETS OR MAKE PWAVE APPLY FLAMESHOCK TO YOUR TARGET AND SPREAD TO 5 OTHER NEARBY TARGETS BLIZZARD PLEASE)
Its true some enh problems can be solved by increasing attack range and its the only melee spec that it makes sense in imo.
DRE just feels bad to have i think someone said it should give doomwinds instead and i agree. Make it more often proc while their at it.
Ascendance and pwave need to be on the class tree not spec tree. Theres no reason that skills all specs can use are on the spec tree. Reduce these dumb 2 point nodes to 1 with full bonus and replace that point with pwave, ascendance.
Entirely true. I like the above comment about SV needing longer range due to fantasy, but I’ll throw ret into this since it already has the range as we speak…
These spec’s damage should scale with range….
Hitting someone at 15yd does 85% damage, 10yd does 90% 5yd 95% or something of this nature can tune the knob on that.
This way it rewards melee range and doesn’t make it broken against other melee’s since you could in theory perm kite.
Also helps with Enh/SV survival in melee range against physical since there is some kiting gameplay.
I think this adds a level of skill expression and would fix enhancements PvP issues by a large degree.
Also lunge should have two charges. DKs get two grips, warriors have 2 charges, DH has 2 Fel rushes, Pala’s have 2 steeds, monks have 2 rolls, rogue’s have 2 shadow steps. SV is super mobile and so is feral.
How is enhancement not* the permanent wheelchair class?
I think i said before on another post. Feral lunge should be base, require no target so ele and resto can use.
Instead have a talent for enh that makes it almost as fast as blink except its not a teleport just really fast dash forward with a lightning strike at the end for cool factor.
Because of Ghost Wolf. Non shaman players see a no-cooldown movement speed increase and think we have great mobility.
Shaman players know that you can’t do anything in GW form, and that a short duration/high speed boost (ie a sprint, charge, or leap) is more practical in most content than a high duration/low speed boost.
Ghost Wolf is thematic and it has its uses, but of all the melee classes I play I would consider shaman to be the second least mobile of them with DK being the least mobile.
PWave just feels bad imo. It’s basically just another chain lightning that you have to set up, does it make dps go up? sure, but it doesn’t really feel great and the visual doesn’t really carry the feeling of dps go up.
Honestly this. The spreading flame shock after forces an extra global and makes it feel bleh. It would actually be cooler if the final node for elemnatlist was sundering instead. Fun , fire, and targetable. All targets hit by sundering erupt in flame and are flameshocked. Next lightning bolt hits all targets or chain lightning arcs twice through its targets(I like adding CL in here as well because you could have a fun doomwinds crash lightning playstyle actually blend with this capstone as well).
Then add all of the same pwave buttons.
It’s a fat button press that does sick conal damage and applies an affect, similar to jade fire stomp. They could even have the node where it does bonus damage if it only hits one target.
Bam ITS FUN and mechanically similar to pwave, and a bit more powerful which is fine because let’s be honest, enhance isn’t even over performing .
