Saddest questline goes to

Absolutely this. This quest is at the heart of why I chose to go back to the Alliance this expac, after maining Horde in Legion.

Kingslayer Orkus (Hillsbrad questline)
I found him to be quite a jerk at first. But then he showed he cared for his frost wyrm and for the Horde. He died a hero. Lokā€™tar friend.

During Legion, Ysera was corrupted by the Fel and needed to be put down. Her soul was cleansed and preserved by Elune, but her body is destroyed.

EDIT: The cutscene is one of the saddest WoW ever produced, but it can be found easily on Youtube.

Nightmare, I donā€™t know if the Nightmare is fel tainted (fel is green and nightmare is red/black)

Then you realize he is Dark Wing Duck.

I still have this in my bank to stay for as long as the game lives.

Pamela Redpath questline in WPL was not only a good story, but an adventure all over azeroth.

I will be glad to play that again once i hit 60 on the classic realms

Wait he went full withered? how what where? O_O

Sunwalker Dezco and Leza: "Are we a joke to you?"

I think the questline where Ysera gets corrupted and you have to kill her is the one that still gets me the most. The cutscene at the end just

Most definitely. I had a daughter right about Pamelaā€™s age the first time I did this quest, and that was a real punch in the gut.

Although Runas the Shamed was right up there ā€“ when I first met him I was halfway sure Iā€™d have to give him the smackdown, but by the end I was ashamed for having thought that. I wish we could have helped him.

And Bridenbrad ā€¦ at their best, the writers can create stories that will hit you where you live and keep you thinking about them years later.

Meh, disloyal junkie got what was coming to him. Shame I couldnā€™t smash his skull in.

Believe itā€™s the last quest in the chain at Azerwing Repose in Azuna. Either Khadgar, or one of the blue dragons there sends you into one of the caves there to find the nightfallen. Itā€™s Runas, and then you get some dialogue to where he goes full withered. Pretty good questline. One of the best in azuna imo.

WE all picked up poop during this game, donā€™t forget that. :poop::poop::poop:

Saddest? That red rose lying on the desk in my garrison. Without a doubt the saddest moment the writers have ever given me in this game.

Every Rose has itā€™s thorn.

Runas got me more than the Bridenbrad one, but itā€™s pretty much in the same veinā€”they both succumb in the end. However, the Runas quest was so good to me because he seemed so shady at the start, and it actually turned out that he felt like he didnā€™t matter until I came along to ā€œmake his final moments matter.ā€

Then he doesnā€™t even die, he remains there, mindlessly swimming in his pool of arcane magic. Itā€™s sad.

No its the one in Norhtrend and it was made in honor of a Blizzard worker who was fighting cancer and then he died. A paladin gives you the quest. I did it years ago when it came out, then just did it again recently. I forgot the name.
